Biarritz defeated fierce local rivals Bayonne in the most dramatic fashion
3-3 at the end of full time
6-6 at the end of extra time

Penalty shoot out and Steffon Armitage seals the match !

Delighted to see them back in the big time.
I must confess I have a soft spot for Biarritz.
The only French team whose ground I have been to when not supporting Ulster.
Wend to a D2 game a couple of years back

Didn't see it. Still don't think we have any coverage of Top 14 here. Was this a pre-season match? Nice to hear Armitage is still playing, and I guess he can kick his goals too!

But still think a penalty kickoff/shootout is the wrong way to settle a match. Either allow a draw or play until we have a winner.

I might be mistaken but I think Top 14 is being shown on Premier Sports this season.

It is indeed - starting the first weekend in September.

Premier Sports now have 2 of the major 3 NH leagues

This game was a play off for the T14 - hence the drama and huge importance

Unfortunately, I am living in America right now and I don't see it anywhere. We have every other comp either on tv or by stream.
