First topic message reminder :

We're now just over a fortnight out from the qualifying round, and team news is ever changing around the teams in the tournament.

Unfortunately today Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the tournament (and a while after) with a back injury. Big blow to India that one, and a World Cup with no Archer/Bumrah (arguably the two best t20 fast bowlers in the world) is a huge shame

Two in the over for Parnell ! And it's Yadav gone now...terrific knock for 68 clap

But even 140 looking unlikely now.

Timely over from Parnell, just as it looked that India would threaten 150.

Barely crossing 130 after that run out ...this last couple of overs have been disastrous for India.

So just 134 for SA to win. They'll fancy that .

Well another good fightback with the bat from India, this time led by a sublime effort from Yadav in highly-testing conditions after being 49/5, but those last two overs have pulled it back into South Africa's favour.

133 is probably 10-15 light so South Africa are favourites, but it's not impossible to defend and India are going to need to maximise the wickets they take in the PowerPlay to try and expose the lengthy tail.

The bowling of Ngidi, Nortje and Rabada was a joy to watch, yet Parnell has arguably stole the headlines with his late efforts.

Yeah, well below what we'd expect but SA will need to respect that chase. It could be tricky if India bowl and field well and SA lose early wickets and put themselves under pressure... but on a normal day you'd still rather be in SA's position. Think India were about 30-40 below par but against that bowling; 150-160 runs would have been a pretty decent score.

Don't think Bavuma needed to take risks such as that (or the top-edged six earlier). He and Markram were steering their side through the most dangerous phase of the innings, RRR wasn't a concern at all, but now Bavuma's chucked it away and India are (narrowly) back ahead in the contest.

Poor stuff. Miller's in very early and he hasn't batted much in recent weeks.

Hmm. Some of their bowlers can handle a bat ; but you wouldn't say SA bat really deep... So this partnership is very important now. We know how dangerous Miller can be : but if India can pick him up I reckon they're right on top.

Agree alfie. These two need to get a move on. If one or both of them get out in the next few overs then it's probably game over. Nearly 100 runs required off 66 balls. Not even India with SKY at the crease could achieve that sort of run rate for a period as long as that. It will take something special from SA and India to completely lose their shape... which I can't see happening just yet.

SA need a big second half. Not out of reach - t20 scoring rates can be ridiculous ; but I think they have to throw caution to the winds against Ashwin - and hope it comes off.

First over after drinks - 16 from it. Pressure on India for the first time in this innings. Interesting to see Markram attacking and not just maintaining an 'anchor' role.

Kohli drops a sitter in the deep off Markram, like Nissanka yesterday. Game-changer?

Indian commentators instantly use 'the lights' as an excuse to protect their hero. Laugh

Now Rohit misses a run-out of Markram which he really should have got. All happening!

India missing chances...but Shami has been so miserly that RRR is still nearly ten. SA favourites as long as they don't lose one of these in the next couple of overs , I think.

Seven overs left, but three are from Ashwin and Pandya, so I'd say SA are ahead at the moment. Over-rate a potential struggle as well.

Miller launches a six to kick off. 17 from it. Huge.

T20 swings fast. Couple of big overs , couple of missed chances - and what was looking like a mountain for SA to climb now more resembles an easy jog to the finish...

India in desperate need of two quick wickets or this is done.

Arshdeep gamble doesn't pay off. Looks like SA have got this locked in, bar a couple of quick wickets. They'll want to win this quick from here.

Odd that we've got Markram being the ultra-aggressor, while Miller is the one ticking along at just under run-a-ball.

Why were they so close together anyway... the hang-time must have brought them together. Still it's a miss and not a half chance.

Markram goes now though. A clean outfield catch.
