Thank you to all the generous cricketing folk of Surrey for letting Gloucs actually win a T20 game.
We needed it. Our season starts here...
And your sacrifice has been duly noted.

You're welcome Chris,
if the favour could be repaid in the County Championship it would be greatly appreciated!

Will see what we can do. Can't promise anything, but if it's a Cheltenham 4-day do, then the answer is almostly certainly yes. We may even do it in 2 or 3 for you.
But don't expect us to do the same in a 1-day bash, where we will do silly things there like score 20 off the last over to ensure we always win.
It's all in the mind, as my old Dr used to say.

Oh dear, back to normal tonight!!!
We were doing really well (including "Captain" Cockbain) until I started listening/watching cricinfo scorecard, whereupon our last 6 batsmen made 8 runs between them, including 4 golden ducks. I turned off, but by then it was all too late....
Does anyone else have this interactive observatorial devastation on their team?? (I think at least one thing in that sentence is probably invented.)

Chris - I took a couple of Essex wicket the other night by tuning out for few minutes - from memory I had a hand in the dismissal of Foster who was looking dangerous at the time.
Being a West Ham supporter I can sympathise with Gloucs supporters. There are some teams that are immune from all attempts to rescue. When W Ham went 2 - 0 up against Wigan at the end of the season I tried every tactic imaginable - but was powerless to prevent the inevitable 3 goal comeback....

Chris
I to have this interactive thing going on. Surrey cannot take a wicket in the four day game if I'm listening to Churchy on the radio. Eventually I will turn it off depressed only to give in 30 mins later turm it back on to find we have taken two or three wickets.
