Liverpool 1 - 0 Birmingham
Torres

A very tight game with two similar formations cancelling each other. Liverpool has the better XI, but Birmingham were solid in the middle and really stopped Aguero. However, Gerrard starting slightly deeper and Birmingham focussing on stopping Aguero meant that Gerrard enjoyed a bit more space and time, which he enjoyed today. He dominated the game and supplied the winner for Torres.

Blackburn 1-1 Stoke
Gyan; Quag

A real midfield battle, with both teams central areas dominated by hard working players. Hargreaves energy in midfield was a real positive for Stoke today as he never gave the opposition any time to think. Montolivo I felt was wasted as he was asked to get into the box, when I think his real strength is sitting deeper and playing the quarter back style role.

Sunderland v Everton - MY GAME

Fulham 3 - 3 Aston Villa
Kuzmanovic, Donovan, Defoe; Carrol 2, Young

Fulham were left a little short of instruction from their manager and that lack of direction showed today. They have the players to compete, but the manager needs to send them out with a clearer strategy of how to play. Villa were much improved from last week, but really lack any kind of defensive cover or steel in midfield. Granero is more natural playmaker, whilst I don't like Cahill in a central midfield 2.

Bolton 0-1 Tottenham
Bale

A tough start for the new Bolton manager against the Champions. Bolton were quite narrow with Marin and Hamsik starting centrally and drifting wide, which left little space to play in at times. Spurs exploited the flanks at time, but their supporters must be baffled at the choice to drop Lennon and VDV. Barnetta was effective with the space, but i can't help thinking Lennon would have had a field day. Benzema tried his hardest in the SS striker role but he is no VDV and was slightly ineffective

Liverpool 1 - 1 Birmingham

Ageuro; Negredo

Birmingham get an early goal through Negredo using his pace and strength to outmuscle Gallas and Zapata. Liverpool then took control but failed to get a major breakthrough until late in the second half when Ben Arfa slotted a ball through for Cisse. Cisse was then able to turn and pull the ball back for Aguero who slotted it home past the big italian. Liverpool continued to press but were enable to find a second goal past the resilient Birmingham defence.

Blackburn 2 - Stoke 0

Gyan x2

Asamoah Gyan dominated against King and Johnson, using his natural pace to terrorize the Stoke defence all day. Hargreaves spent most of the game trying to man mark Willan do stop the balls from getting to Gyan, Unfortunately Kuyt was on top form.

Sunderland 1 - Everton 3
Forlan; Suarez x2, N'Zogbia

Sunderland were playing far too narrow against an attacking Everton side. The fullbacks Santon (Then Rafina) and N'Zogbia bossed the game. Suarez was able to drift in from the wing due to Santon/Rafina overlapping. Sunderland got a consolation late on through Forlan.

Fulham - Aston Villa (My Game)

Bolton 1 - Tottenham 1
Hamsik; VDV

A tight game between two fairly evenly matched sides. No VDV really hurt Spurs and it was only after Hamsik scored a screamer in the 74th minute that the game came alive. The key substitution was Modric for VDV as Modric looked uncomfortable playing in the middle of the park. VDV made the difference as he burst through from the midfield to score a great goal after being set up by Bale. Van Bommel man of the match as he marked Benzema out of the game

Liverpool 2 Birmingham 2
aguero, mata - agger, negredo

birmingham started brightly and took the lead when agger came up for a corner and outjumped gallas. aguero made it 1-1 with some brilliant skill inside the box fooled bonucci and he placed the ball calmly past viviano. birmingham retook the lead when Vidal was moved to CM and started to dictate play. The goal came from good work from kalou as he took the ball to the by line and threaded it back to negredo to blast home. Liverpools lack of formation change when they fell behind nearly cost them but mata saved them with a thunderous left foot shoot from 20yards.

Blackburn 1 Stoke 1
gyan - montolivio

a close game which was mostly contested in centre midfield. blackburn took the lead as willian's pace and trickery was too much for makoun and he threaded a great pass in for gyan who in return finished the chance with a delightful dink over the keeper. this sparked stoke into life and quag was begining to come more into the game after westermann was staying tight to him but quag found a small gap to pass to montolivio who made a late burst into the box and he shot the ball first time into the top corner to give the keeper no chance. Both teams were content to play for the draw and the game fizzled out in the last half hour.

Sunderland 1 Everton 1
adebayor - suarez

everton's defensive formation was the main talking point of the game as adebayor struggled against them and was innifective in the first half as his hold up play was below par. only when parker came of for canales did sunderland start playing with more zest and speed. on the 75th minute adebayor scored a header from a whipped in corner by turan. this was a blow to everton as they were controlling the game and their midfield contolled the game but sunderlands defence stayed firm and the change of formation to a 4-5-1 was starting to contol the midfield. everton put on gervinho and to help them in getting a crucial goal and the sub paid off as he took on the tiring taiwo and was clean through on goal when he laid it into the path of suarez who lost his markers and scored into an empty net to make it 1-1.

Fulham v Aston Villa
MY GAME

Bolton 1 Tottenham 3
di natale - bale, gilardino, barnetta

it was a tale of wrong tactics for the new bolton manager as coentrao and bale tormented corluka the whole game. hamsik tried to drift wide and take on coentrao but the portugese was too fast for him. heitinga came across to try and help corluka but the pace and trickery of bale and coentrao was a bit too much for them. marin had better luck against v.d wiel but bolton were far too narrow and spurs tore them apart with their wing play. the bolton manger had a decent first game but his tactical knowlede is questioned when on 90 minutes, they decided to bring on Izaguirre for Enrique but there was no urgency in their play and enrique for izaguirre was not a great substitution as bolton neede an extra striker on.

Liverpool 1-2 Birmingham City
Payet ----------Kalou
-------------------Adrian

Close game between the two sides, tactially Birmingham shaded it and I feel that got them the win. Liverpool may have had the stronger team but I feel Gerrard best position has been playing behind the striker.

Sunderland 1-0 Everton
Adebayor

This new look formation for Everton did not suit them they struggled to play the system and Sunderland took advantage. The Sunderland strong midfield overpowerd Everton.

Fulham 1-2 Aston Villa
Defoe-------Adrian
---------------Caroll

Fulham started well with thier attacking approach but as they game wore on and the lack of tactics Villa took control and got the goals. Nice partnership by the Villa front men and Adrian is looking hot at the moment.

Bolton 1-2 Spurs
Di natale---Barnetta
--------------Gotze

A hard fought win for Spurs, both teams played well but Spurs had the extra quality to get them the three points. I feel Bolton looked a stronger team when they played thier 4-2-3-1 formation.

Liverpool 2-1 Birmingham
Birmingham are a strong side but Liverpool just had that extra quality and they had a lot of success down the right today.

Blackburn 1 - 0 Stoke
Hargreaves looked well off the pace today and struggles against a high energy Blackburn midfield. Stoke battled hard but Blackburn just knicked it with a late goal.

Fulham 1 - 1 Aston Villa
A draw, both teams let down Fulham need a bit more in their tactics and Villa playing with 2 attackminded midfielders. I thought Granero was an AM not a ball winner? Maybe I'm wrong.

Bolton 0 - 1 Tottenham
Spurs just shaded this one against a quality Bolton team who I feel could just shock a few of us this season. The new manager had a tough start but it should get easier from here. Unlucky to go down 1-0 to a Shawcross headed goal.

Blackburn 2 - 2 Stoke
Defour, Gyan - Fernandez, Montolivo

Couldnt split them

Sunderland 2 - 1 Everton
Adeybayor, Forlan - Bent

Wingers were too much for the 3 man defence

Fulham 2 - 2 Villa

Jovetic,Defoe - Cahill, Young
Villa good going forward, but a ball winner in the middle? There defence let them down as no support from midfield

Bolton 1 - 3 Spuds
Hamsik - Benzemax2, Bale

Spuds were just too good and there quality was just too good for a battling Bolton side

Liverpool 0-9 Birmingham
- Adriano x 3, Negredo x 3, Viviano X 3

TORRES IS A ONE GOAL IN FOURTEEN STRIKER.
ZAPATA AND GALLAS STRUGGLED AGAINST THE SKILLFULL BIRMINGHAM PLAYERS, ESPECIALLY THE GOALKEEPER VIVIANO.
BOTH OF LIVERPOOLS FULLBACKS ARE TOO OLD.
PEPE REINA LOOKED OUT OF PLACE PLAYING IN GOAL.

Blackburn 2-1 Stoke
Elia, Willian - Quaglierlla

Midfield battle today was won by Blackburn which won them the 3 points. Hargreaves did not look up to pace and even Makoun struggled at times which made it tough for Montolivo to push on and when he did made it worse when losing possesion. Veloso did what he does best which allowed Defour to get around the pitch and Willian to support Gyan. Well working midfield central three IMO.

Sunderland 3-2 Everton
Forlan, Turan, Adebayor - Bent, Podolski

What a match!! Both of these teams went for it. Sunderland started off great, really getting at Everton. Parker & Fellaini were brilliant in the crentre today. Sunderland fullbacks did great marking out the Everton wingers, untill they started to tire. Everton got back into it then but Sunderland found the winner after bringing on fresh legs.

Just a bit of feedback for Everton manager, found your att and def formation a bit strange. Att one was 3-4-2-1 and the Def one was 3-2fullbacks-2-2-1. But when you allo at it the Def one looks like you have pushed Ramsey & Meireles up the pitch, not sure if it meant to be or if it just looks that way due to how you have written it out.
"bemused by who to mark? Suarez, Bent, Podolski, the 2 wingbacks, the CM’s?" - Kinda delt your players were bemused as to where they should be lol. In the mind of Suarez or Podolski - should I go out wide oh wait but the fullbacks are out wide so ill go back in the centre but Ramsey and Meireles are up and down the field, ill just go forward, oh wait fullbacks have gone ill go wide and so on I duno, I just felt organisation cant go a miss, one player on a free role yes, two players on a free role I feel its a bit too much as they will be "free roling" a lot of gaps can be left from that not to mention other duties that players have. One free role player for me is fine.
Sorry dude, not a dig but just a bit of feedback Ok!

Fulham 0-2 Aston Villa
- Hangeland, Carrol
Fulham lacked direction and at times didnt seem to know what to do. Villa go the 2 goal lead within the hour, Diarra came on to sure up the midfield which pretty much closed the game off.

Bolton v Tottenham

Birmingham 1 - 1 Blackburn
Negredo; Kuyt

A very tight affair with not a lot to choose between the two sides

Stoke 2 - 1 Fulham

A much improved Fulham side, but Stoke controlled the midfield which stifled the Fulham creative players of possession.

Villa 1 - 3 Spurs
Cahill; Benzema 2, VDV

Villa invited Spurs onto them, and giving a side as good as Spurs that much possession is a mistake. Spurs were 2-0 at half time, and then added to their lead soon after the break. Villa responded by going to a 4-4-2 with Cahill behind the strikers and this made a big difference to them. They pulled a goal back, but it was too little too late

Birmingham 1 - 1 Blackburn - Augusto, Kuyt
A very tight game, entertaining but to difficult to pick a winner. It ended in stalemate.

Liverpool 2 - 1 Sunderland - Aguero & Mata, Pienaar
Aguero was to much for Parker to handle. The ageing Forlan was not very mobile as the lone striker however the wingers buzzing around him helped. Pienaar chipped in with a goal.

Stoke 1 - 1 Fulham - Quagliarella, Klose
Much improved sides. Stoke have a good central midfield pairing now, Fulham look dangerous upfront and on the wings. Stoke defended well to keep out an attack minded Fulham side and just managed to nick a point.

Villa 0 - 1 Spurs - Lennon
Very negative from Villa, it kept the losing margin low but they did not offer a threat going forward and they could never win being under the cosh for so long

Birmingham 0 - 0 Blackburn
Tough battle in midfield today. Blackburn were the slightly better team, if it hadnt of been for the woodwork they would of taken all three points.

Liverpool 2 - 1 Sunderland
Aguero, Payet - Arteta
Close match here, Sunderland we very will organised and managed to keep Liverpools attacking force quiet for an hour. The reds took the lead with an Aguero strike but Sunderland battled well and pulled one back. Liverpools substitutions proved the difference as Payet's pace did what expected for the final 10 minutes.

Stoke 2 - 0 Fulham
Quaglierlla, Johnson
Stoke smashed it up in midfield. Fulham got shook, team needs a few games together to click. Some good stuff from them in flashes. Montolivo ran the show

Sunderland 1-1 Brum
Menez; Vidal
Sunderlands gameplan didnt really work today, and they were fortunate to come away with a point

Fulham - Blackburn
no tactics for either

Spurs 2-0 Stoke
VDV, Coentrao
Spurs were pushing their luck at times during the match, with ochoa putting in a performance which he will likely never better again, really should have been a draw but the points go to the home side

Villa 0-0 Everton
A game that promised goals but delivered none, Carroll just couldnt get time on the ball and Suarez was just off form, and neither player could have any impact on the game and lessened the threat for the goalkeepers who did well when they were called upon

Menez x 2, Adebayor - Jadson, Capel
Sunderland sneeked this entertaining affair.

Bolton 1 - 0 Liverpool
Davies
Pure genius from new boss Tranquil. Bolton were boosted by a new manager coming in, not the most attractive style but we havent seen it in this league for a very long time and oh boy did it work! Liverpool totally caught out by Tranquil's "rugby" tactics.

Aston Villa 0 - 0 Everton
Villa looking so much better than last week and actually gave Everton a game, quite shocked about that. Everton had some spells with Podolski causing problems for Miguel But something missing from their usual game.

Sunderland 1-0 Birmingham
Adebayor

A solid performance by Sunderland, very close game and once they got the goal always kept it at arms length.

Bolton 0-1 Liverpool
------------- Aguero

The Liverpool CB dealt with the long ball play of Bolton, with De Rossi as Gerrard playing as DM they also helped clear up.

Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

Both teams were very solid in thier approach and maybe did not have the magic to open the other. Both should be happy with a point.

Fulham 1-2 Blackburn
Klose---------Kuyt
----------------Gyan

Fulham were the much better side during the first half, Klose getting the better of the CB's and the midfield controlling the game. Klose early header gave them the base. The second half Blackburn got a bit more of the ball and a Kuyt stabbed the ball from close range. Fulham then pushed forward and put pressure on the opposition. The KEY moment in the game came at 70 mins during subs from both teams, Fulham lack instructions and Bothroyd was playing as an AM and i don't think it was the right move. Blackburn got on thier wingers and the goal camr from wide and Gyan tapped it home.

Birmingham 0 - 0 Sunderland
The teams cancelled each other out, despite their best efforts of getting a goal the game ended scoreless. Kalou ripped M'Bengue on a few occasions but Adriano squandered the chances. Adebayor lacked any quality service.
Tottenham 0 - 1 Stoke
Good tactics from Stoke. Think Nick is taking the pee! Have people not read spurs tactics this week as they are voting him for a win lol.
Bolton 2 - 3 Liverpool
Bolton sprung a surprise with the long ball game today and caught Liverpool out on a couple of occassions. However Liverpools quality told in the end and they just scraped the win in an exciting game with to conflicting styles.
Fulham 0 - 1 Blackburn
Fulhams team has much improved but Blackburn were way more tactically astute and they stuck to their gameplan and got the win.

Fulham 0 - 1 Blackburn

Both teams cancelled each other out and the game looked to be heading for a stalemate until the substitutions part way through the second half. Fulham's players seemed to lack direction and uncertainty about how they should line up and Blackburn took advantage

Bolton 1 - 1 Liverpool

The long ball tactics shocked Liverpool and Mexes and Zapata looked a bit shell shocked. Liverpool had a lot of extra class and it was difficult for Bolton to hold them off all game, but they did enough to earn the draw.

Tottenham 0 - 2 Stoke

Stoke looked organised and had a game plan which they executed. Spurs were aimless with very little idea of what was expected of them, and no clear game plan. Think Nick is missing the point regarding Coentrao being marked down. Noone has said he doesn't listen to his manager. More that his manager is asking him to stay back, which takes away a lot of his game and just leaves him defending, which is not near the top of his list of strengths. Funnily enough, this was Coentrao's best game of the season

Aston Villa 1 -2 Everton

Aston Villa are massively improved, possess a bit more sharpness at the back and are much more of a threat out wide. However, this Everton team is very strong and they had too much for Villa today. IMO, this Everton team is the best side in the league now.

Birmingham 0-0 Fulham
Birmingham have set up well, I think the offside trap would work well, and they have a solid midfield. But for me they need a bit more bite there, as Negredo would be isolated at times. Fulham have a good defense, and in midfield they didn't give Birmingham much time. Overall, I think the two midfields overall are quite defensive and that they would have cancelled each other out at times.

Sunderland 2-1 Bolton
Bolton put in a good performance today but it wasn't enough to get a point. Di Natale out wide works in attacking scenarios, but defensively Fanni could get forward and double up on Enrique. Sunderland kept Hamsik quiet and there wasn't much creativity coming from the side after that. The Forlan-Adebayor partnership will bring plenty of goals to Sunderland.

Blackburn 1-1 Tottenham
Both sides have their advantages. On paper, Tottenham have more quality and that did shine through at times. But, Elia and Cissokho completely over-run Van Der Weil on the wing and the three midfielders held strong for Blackburn.

Stoke 0-1 Everton
A close game here, but for me Stoke set up a little bit too defensive which allowed the Everton players to push upfield. Bent had one chance all game but took it well. Stoke were organised, but when they did get forward there just wasn't enough in numbers and the solid defense that Everton had held firm.

Sunderland 1 - 0 Bolton

A close match, but the strength of the Sunderland front line won the match. The teams were evenly matched, but Bolton's defence ultimately wasnt' able to cut the supply line to Forlan and Adebayor.

Blackburn 0 - 1 Tottenham

The creativity and Quality of the Tottenham midfield managed to penetrate the strong Blackburn midifeld.

Liverpool 1 - 1 Aston Villa

Both sides have solid formations which allow them to get forwards, and sufficient quality to do as such. However, they both are reasonably strong defensivly, so two evenly matched sides come out with a draw.

Stoke 0 - 0 Everton

Both defences were strong, and although Everton did dictate the play they were unable to breakthrough. Everton certainly had more of the play, but when they were attacked they also held firm in defence.

Birmingham 1-1 Fulham
Negredo---------Defoe

Majority of the game the offside trap worked but you know it just needs one laspe of concentration and the opposition are in. Both teams were equal and not much between them.

Sunderland 1-0 Bolton
Adebayor

Bolton seemed to match everything what Sunderland tried to do, Corluka sitting back and playing at times as another centre back stopped Sunderland piercing them. But it was the genius Forlan who was being followed by Van Bommel everywhere went into akward positions to open up Bolton and put in Adebayor.

Blackburn 1-1 Tottenham
Gyan------------Benzema

This new look formation took Spurs a while to adjust to and by that time they were already a goal down. It took the brilliance of Benzema (who sometimes looks too good) to get Spurs back in the game but it was too little too late. Blackburn did well holding the Spurs side who did not helo themselves by playing this new untried formation.

Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa

Liverpool defence was strong but upfront they were weak, missing thier star man Aguero they struggled to penetrate Villa. Cisse lacked the sharpness to start a game but Adrien who came on later was very impressive. Where are the Villa strikers? Crouch and Cahill looked toothless upfront. Selling Young was a big mistake.

Birmingham 0 - 1 Fulham

Birmingham were dominant in midfield, particularly with Vidal who bossed the game completely. However, they were very defensively minded and are a better side than their manager is giving them credit for. They left Negredo a bit isolated and despite their possession, they created little. Fulham still have a little work to do, but they created chances and Defoe, on against a tired defense took the opportunity to score the winner.

Blackburn 1 - 2 Tottenham

Blackburn came into the game full of confidence, but the surprise Spurs formation was a complete shock to them. Spurs players looked a little at odds with the new formation, but it made them solid at the back and provided Coentrao with the extra licence to get forward. The extra quality of both Gotze and VDV was too much for Blackburn in between their defense and midfield and that extra quality made the difference. Nice tactical work by Spurs, although whether it would work every week remains to be seen.

Liverpool 0 - 0 Aston Villa

Both teams were solid, but lacking that cutting edge. Difficult to blame Liverpool with their injuries, but perhaps better back-up is required. Villa came in and did a job against a good team and took their reward.

Stoke 1 - 1 Everton

Stoke set themselves up well and with the extra man in midfield, they were able to take some hold on the game, especially up against two young central midfielders. However, Everton have a lot of quality and pace up front, and it is impossible to keep them quiet all game

Birmingham 0-0 Fulham

Bit of a let down. Both have a good three central midfield who worked hard. Maybe both were set up a bit to defensive though. Capel playing out of position did no favours.

Sunderland 2-0 Bolton
Adebayor x 2

Adebayor took advantage of a new CB partnership that Bolton went with. Bolton were unluck, thet had really good spells in the match, an error led to the first goal and the second came from a corner. Fellaini marked Hamsik well, he followed him everywhere, maybe as BigFellasAfro pointed out his hair is dafter then his so it made his look better each time he stood next to him. Nevertheless, Hamsik was unable to support Carroll as much as liked.

Liverpool 1-0 Aston Villa
A.Johnson

Both teams were well organised and tough at the back. Liverpool missed key players but Adam Johnson handed them a much needed win. Villa were just not firing upfront.

Stoke 2-2 Everton
Augusto, Quagliarella - Bent, Jagielka.

What a match. Everton showed their class by taking an early lead with Suarez setting up Bent. Just after half time Jags went up for corner and hit the back of the net. Everton looked to be cruising until a M’Vila saw red for a late tackle from behind on Cardozo, it was needless from M’Vila and Augusto dispatched the free kick into the top corner. Stoke’s team spirit suddenly grew, manager Viva mad a controversial change taking off the goal scorer Augusto for Quagliarella and then Arteta in closing stages of the match. Arteta's creativity saw Cardozo through on goal who selflessly squared to Quagliarella to tap home and salvage a point.

Birmingham 2 - 2 Fulham
BIR: Negredo, Vidal
FUL: Klose, Donovan

Two evenly matched teams on the pitch. Both newish managers with something to prove.

Sunderland 2 - 1 Bolton
SUN: Fellaini, Forlan
BOL: Carroll

Nice acquisition by Bolton to get Carroll but not much attacking threat today.

Liverpool 1 - 2 Aston Villa
LIV: Cisse
A.V: T.Cahill, Hazard

Villa caused a shock today against a very strong Liverpool team. But to note, Ben Arfa cutting in from LW to shoot but isnt he left footed?

Stoke 1 - 3 Everton
STO: A.Young
EVE: Suarez 2, Gervinho

Suarez was on fire today unfortunately for Stoke and they just couldnt handle him. Stoke had there chances but couldnt make them pay.

Bolton 1-0 Birmingham
Carroll

I feel the Bolton midfield had more in them, Birmingham with two DM struggled to get anything going in the middle. The Bolton fullbacks were more then a match for Birmingham Wingers.

Tottenham 2-1 Fulham
Benzema x2---Defoe

The Fulham pairing upfront did cause Spurs problems and have improved vastly from last season. I see good things for Cheggers next season done well. Spurs playing that 3-5-2 formation is working against smaller clubs but against the better teams I feel they will struggle.

Aston Villa 1-0 Sunderland
Hazard

The Villa team looked very attack minded and got thier reward, pinned Sunderland back and put them under pressure. Forlan couldn't get into the game which reduced the creatvity for Sunderland.

Everton 1-0 Blackburn
Rodallega
Everton are on the winning mentality and got another grinding win, they may not have played as well as they would like but are getting the points. Blackburn are a very good side going forward and can beat many teams but I feel they are slightly soft at the back.

Bolton 1-1 Birmingham
Both teams played well but Negredo had a lot of room behind the Bolton midfield, and Rolfes and Diarra absorbed the pressure they were put under quite well. Carroll had a good game and managed to earn his side a good point.

Tottenham 1-2 Fulham
Shawcross is injured, but was on the bench. Defoe starts and is on the bench? Gago and Flamini worked very hard for Fulham in the midfield, and out wide they overloaded Tottenham. Klose and Defoe both used their pace which troubled Mertesacker in particular, and gave Fulham a shock win.

Aston Villa v Sunderland
My game

Everton 3-1 Blackburn
Blackburn worked hard and they tried to stop Everton, however Smartest's side was just too good for them. Bent was lethal in front of goal and Suarez caused problems all day. Marin and Elia caused problems for Everton when Clichy and Rafinha got forward though.

Stoke 0-1 Liverpool
Aguero struggled up against Johnson today, and Silvestri and Tremoulinas did well to stop N'Zogbia/Navas. However, Liverpool had that little bit of quality and Torres came off the bench to score a late goal which was maybe a little cruel on Stoke who had worked hard.

That Defoe mistake is mine. I updated Gregers tactics for him under his instruction, but forgot to take Defoe off the bench. Please consider it as 1 less player on the bench Doh

Bolton 0 - 1 Birmingham

I struggled to separate these two teams. I felt Bolton showed more flair in the middle and had the numbers, but the Birmingham gameplan was to use the flanks more, and with the extra man in the middle, this gameplan worked well. Hamsik was a bit anonymous as the two DMs left him very little space.

Tottenham 2 - 3 Fulham

I felt that Fulham surprised Tottenham with their formation and Tottenham hadn't made allowance for 2 strikers. Although Tottenham's forward line had too much for Fulham to handle, it was A sloppy defensive tactical performance with non-Fulham players being marked, and Defoe being left completely unmarked. His pace against the slower Tottenham defence caused havoc and Fulham got a deserved win.

Aston Villa v Sunderland - MY GAME

Everton 1-0 Blackburn

A tight game with Blackburn defending very well, but they lacked a real cutting edge up front. Everton have quality throughout and it was difficult to keep them contained all game, and a moment of magic from Suarez won the game.

Stoke 1 - 1 Liverpool

Was a bit put off with Liverpool's tactics where they spent most of the time telling me how great the players were and what they have done in the past, and not enough time telling the players what to do. Liverpool dominated the midfield and created many shooting chances from 25 yards. But when they fed their wingers, who were told to stay wide, there wasn't enough to aim at in the middle, with just the little Aguero. Stoke didn't see enough of the ball to win the game, but when they did, they're game plan to use the wingers worked perfectly, and they created chances for the prolific Cardozo, who took one of them.

Bolton 1 - 0 Birmingham
Carroll
This Bolton team is going places and up top they had more quality than Birmingham. Brum made a brave attempt at attacking themselves but the supply was not good enough for their forward. Andy Carroll scored the winner towering above the Brum defence to head home. I suspect the Bolton manager read the Birmingham tactics before picking his team?

Tottenham 1 - 2 Fulham
Van Der Vaart
Klose x 2
A lazy set of tactics by Spurs allowed Fulham to get a suprise win hear. Fulham have improved and this is a massive 3 points to them showing they are heading in the right direction.
Tottenham still thought they were playing Blackburn!

Aston Villa 1 - 1 Sunderland
Hazard
Adebayor
The game of the round, both teams going for it and in the end sharing the spoils. I like the new Villa setup, I was a little confused by the starting position of Adebayor in the Sunderland team, is he on the wing? But I gave the benefit of the doubt. Good passing, lots of chances and plenty of talking points between two evenly matched teams.

Stoke 1 - 3 Liverpool
Young
Aguero x 2 & DeRossi
Harsh on Stoke this result you might think but Liverpool absolutely bossed the midfield and thus took total control of the game. Johnson could not cope with Aguero and the difference in quality between them was highlighted. I think I saw N'Zogbia and Navas playing last week? But not 100%
