The changes for Saturday - unofficial obviously

Apparently the only changes for sat, according to a good source.

Are as follows.

Burns for Bennet

Charteris for AWJ

Henson for JD2

Hook at fullback.



Don’t know about the bench.

I like the consistency in selection, all we need now is the win.

If thats the case and Priestland is at 10 again, it means he is seriously being considered as a first choice outside half for the WC.

Yeah apparently this is the team. I was given it by a very good friend of some fo the squad.

Roberts and Henson in the midfield doesn't sound like the best combo. Like Roberts and JD more, combo of power and guile.

i just like the way he is selcting a consistent side. The RWC starts in 4 weeks, they need to play together.

Is there much call for consistency at this stage? Wales can't progress in the world cup with just 21 players, they will need to use all the squad at some point, so should therefore be given the chance to tune up.

Henson at full back

I guess it is a more about making a few changes in order to keep the momentum, and hopefully pick up the win. That said if Hook is going to be on the pitch it would make more sense to have him at fly half and Priestland at fullback (even though he did well at fly half last weekend) as Hook hasn't had much game time recently at fullback, and Priestland has played there more often, and IMO better.

The consistency of selection is good to see - I'm especially pleased for Toby Faletau, who doesn't deserve to be dropped after one cap, even though these are warm-up matches and Ryan Jones did an excellent job when he came on; but I'm not happy with seeing James Hook at full back. Surely Gatland's seen enough of him there to know that he just isn't a full back?

I presume that Priestland and Hook will swop roles at some point. Also we dont know who is on the bench yet, so that could change things a lot. Not much been said about Henson so far? I'm suprised. I thought his inclusion would create a debate despite being the worst kept secret in town.

I think this will happen if this is the team, they could even swap with Henson or Roberts. It's a shame we don't have many specialist FBs to choose from in Wales.
