Each country is playing for the Webb Ellis Cup. William Webb Ellis created rugby by CHEATING in a game of football*. Complaining about cheating just seems a bit silly really.

*anyone in the know, will know that rugby was played before this act

disneychilly wrote:Of course NZ have every ref in their pocket. I mean Wayne Barnes did everything in his power to help NZ win the QF but the All Blacks just didn't get the hint.

Staggered at the ignorance too. If NZ were a pro side then would Craig Green have been sitting outside his house at 6am on the Monday afterwards waiting to go to work?

Also hypocrisy. If Neil Back wasn't breaking every rule in the book then England wouldn't have their only WC either. Jog on mate.

Just Craig Green then? The other 29 must have kept it quiet, or maybe he'd just locked himself out?

The SH teams had a much more relaxed attitude to the "amateur code" long before 1995 Disney, you'd have to be in denial to not accept that.

The "ref in the pocket" comment is the root of ignorance I agree, but chucking WB in doesn't make a right either.

As for Neil Back? Seriously? HE was responsible single-handed for England's sole triumph?

C'mon Disney, you're better than that, take a deep breath, count to 30ish and let those whose comments "border on the ignorant" be hoist with their own petards.

I know it's difficult to swallow when you read such aggravating comments, but we should also acknowledge that without our help and understanding, the "Care in the Community" project is doomed to failure.

I have read all of the above, and I cant find anything new or fresh from the anti New Zealand brigade, that wasnt posted on the last New Zealanders/Richie McCaw/ All blacks cheat article about a fort night ago.
Perhaps the Mods have to look at the value of these repetitive articles, they do not add anything fresh that hasnt been voiced numerous times before, they are not informative.
The sole purpose of these articles is to be vexatious and sadly will be repeated again over the next couple of weeks, to the point of being frivolous.

This thread is nothing new prior to every 3Ns match between Nz and Aus.
Eddie Jones or Bob Dwyer.Would chat up the Refs prior to the match,John Reason[Marks Father]was as one eyed as his son.
But at least he was also objective about Englands cheating too, face it all teams do it.
It may interest those who think England were whiter than white,in 2002
THE GREAT England side. Were hanging on by the skin of there teeth versus
the All Blacks.
The All Blacks were scoring tries,Martin Johnson and Neil Back were in the bin.For a series of cynical Professional fouls, gambling the six remaining England forwards .Could close out the game they did so by 3 points,a great
victory for England.BUT they won it by blatant cheating, indeed they did write the Book.
NO they did`nt learn that one off the All Blacks, conning the ref into giving Penalties .To be exploited by the likesof Johnnie Wilkinson or Morne Steyn.
The Professional foul is as old as the game its self live with it,Because
there will be matches settled by the Boot from milked Penalties in this RWC
count on it.

To be fair, I doubt John Gallagher or Jamie Salmon cheated. Just cant see those chaps going in for gamesmanship for some reason

GG, i'd be prepared to bet a lot of money that you'd agree with Mark Reason on the below article.

He's being deliberately provocative before a WC - how you can allow yourself to be whipped up into a seething, mouth frothing frenzy about this is beyond me.

So perhaps he's not so biased after all eh?...
