First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the David Pocock photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

If anyone wants to take their mind off rugby for a short time - then I've created this game. Feel free to add your crazy place names...
It's an educational experience on here after all!

Look Ireland are not going to have a bad world cup, I'm sure of it. I'm still confident that ee will beat Oz in the pool. No other reason than blind faith but Im just sure its going to happen

Thanks mate. I'll check it out too.

Currently watching Roosters upset the Storm 28-8 at the 62 minute. (I cheekily tipped this one on my fox tipping and nominated double points too.)

Blind faith is all we have Hughie!

Just drew the Aussies in a friends sweepstake. Had Uraguay for the WC last year so feeling quietly confident. I would suggest setting one up here but I reckon we probably have enough fantasy games si?

Good luck with the sweep Willy.

Afternoon all. Disappointing result for THE Sarries at home yesterday (3-19) to the side who finished a place below us last season. Looked very rusty, but thought Prop hit his 'jumpers' well. Scarlets also looking rusty, but that's understandable with a whole backline missing. Loads of inexperience in the backs, but still 9-6 up at half time

Scarlets finally manage to hold onto the ball and get some go-forward; they score a try and, even with 30 minutes to go, I can't see Aironi responding.

Aironi don't look very good at all this week. 19-9 and the error count is killing them.

Ben Morgan has done quite well, but by and large Scarlets have been rusty with flashes of good play. It finished 32-9 to Scarlets- a poor game played in very poor conditions, Aironi were notably bad however. Credit to Scarlets for their win, Newton just kept that scoreboard ticking over.

Plenty to work on for both sides, especially the visitors.

My head still doesn't seem to have registered the World Cup is starting on Friday or that I'm heading to Turkey on Thursday.

This summer hasn't gone anything like I've planned it but it has been absolutely fantastic. I wouldn't have believed it before it started but I've made myself so many new friends and really feel part of a community here.

I really do feel at home here.
