Breaking News: Everton crowned Furious League champions after 1-0 win against Birmingham

NOTICEBOARD

This week's TPs will be closed on Wednesday, but open on Thursday instead. Lawyers will also stay open for you to accept offers until the close of Thursday.

Players who left the league through season 2 lawyers will become available to buy in TPs from Thursday (15th)

Season 4 - U21 = players born on or after 01/10/1990

New League Squad Limit Rules to be introduced!

From season 4, there will a 25 man league squad limit from which you will be able to select players to play in league games.

These will be the 25 players from which your injuries will be drawn so as to prevent managers from the bigger, richer teams from diluting the risk of their stars picking up injuries.

You will be able to take players in and out of your League 25, but from the point that injuries are drawn that is the 25 that you must select your league team from. Injuries will now be drawn on Wednesdays

Your overall squad can remain larger than 25, but your League eligible 25
must be shown separately. Players outside of the 25 can still play in cup and European competitions.

ROLL OF HONOUR

Season 1 - Blackburn (Andy)

Season 2 - Tottenham (Nick)

Season 3 - Everton (Smartest)

Plan is a weekend off this weekend and then tactics for week 1 in next Friday.

I have to get Sponsors done first though.

Pleased with my Shaqiri signing, just need to pull of the Baines transfer and I will be satisfied with my week's work.

Shaqiri is a top signing, he is more then good enough to play as a first teamer. Was a joy to watch during my time at Sunderland and left many a defender with twisted blood.

I may put a bid in for him soon. Baines best left back in the league? Has to be.

I think so. I personally think he is the best LB in the Premier League atm and should have been in the team of the year ahead of Cole last year

I was screaming out the same thing, why was he not in the team? Easily the best LB last season and I think he has a chance of staking the first team for Euro 2012.

Cole is a top, top LB and at the top of his game, he is as good as any other LB in the world.

But you are right about Euro 2012. If last season's form is continued this season, then Baines should be ahead of him.

But he won't be

We're on our 21st page and still no sign of a mod locking up the page evn though I messaged YI Man. Hero your boys are slacking and it's embrassing when I have to tell them to pull thier finger out.

Baines goal threat and better delievery has to give him a chance but if I'm honest totally honest Ashely Cole at 100% only Patrice Evra is better Wink

If I had had the cash I'd had been in for Shaqiri as well, has looked quality whenever I've seen him.
Just need Willian off Blackburn though and then I've got the Shaktar boys from Brazil set. (Costa, Dede, Jadson, Adriano and Willian).

Oh its not because of that Tweedy bitch, I dont like her wither. Just genrally hes a Muppet.
I think Baines in underrated as hes at Everton. He should be at a top club!! He can defend and attack both to high standards, Able to whip a ball in the box from deep or touchline with accuracy. + he can take set pieces, corners, free kicks the lot, you name it that man does it. Even bashed your momma once Afro Smile

I did let Shaqiri go from Sunderland, but I think I used the cash to sign Taiwo and Forlan I think. Sunderland had a mass of LW's at that time, and Shaqiri was the only one I had a lawyers offer for.

Did I?

That was quite a good deal if I straight swapped Viva for Taiwo. No disrespect Viva, but you are quire injury prone, so getting Taiwo instead was a no brainer.

Can't remember who I bought then. Perhaps it was Godin or Fanni.

If I was lining up in a team for the CL Final I know who I would rather have in my team and it wouldn't be Leighton Baines. Yes he delivers a good freekick and can score from set plays etc but Ashley Cole is a top class LB. Baines at his best is not close to Ashley at his best. Ashley Cole also has the experiance of playing at the highest level against the best players in the world in the CL and on the International stage. Plenty of players have done well domestically and then not made the step up to International level. How can Baines cope against a Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi or Robben?

An no the swap deal was: Montolivo, Tremulinas and Fernandez for Rakitic, Taiwo and Coleman.

You were put for 6-8 weeks, came back for one game and are now out for Christmas. It's like having Darren Anderton on the payroll. It was a joke though.

Going forward, Baines is better now than Cole ever has been. His delivery is way above what Cole has ever achieved. But defensively, Baines is not as good as Cole at his peak. But for over a season, Baines has been better than Cole and defensively he keeps improving.

ATM, I would rather have Baines than Cole

Baines has playerd against 2/3 named, good point nobhead!

Cashleys that good it takes him around 10mins just to settle into a match now. Last 3 England matches hes looked shocking in the opening of the match and progressed to be merley OK.

Baines at a lesser team killed him the opta stats and every fantasy league for points. Drop him next to Vidic and Rio and watch, heck drop him next to Terry and Luiz and watch

Oh ok I thought you might have had another rude meaning for injury prone because the injury is a week old now and you commatating on it now. lol

Afro I am not injury prone, two injuries in 12 years does not make me injury prone.

Note: I have been playing Football before that but properly and serious from 1999 when I started secondary school.

I'm not buying it that Baines is as good as you lot think. Good player, I would like him at Arsenal, good enough to start for us for sure now Clichy has left but I don't think he is better than Ashley Cole.

He offers a lot offensively.

We are saying that for the last season and a bit that Baines has been better than Cole or any other LB in the Prem, and he should have been in last years team of the year.

And he is definately better than Clichy, who can't even get in the City team ahead of Kolarov for their important CL debut

unfortunately as he is a blue, i also feel he is up there in terms of one of the best lbs in the prem, and peaking just at the right time as both the chelsea and united full backs are starting to decline, the only thing that could hold him back from moving is him being one of the jewels in the everton crown, and his asking price is gonna be at least 20m, when the big lcubs could buy top class lbs from abroad for a fair bit less than that
