Boxing Question

First topic message reminder :

On the 16th of July 1993 McCrory went to Russia to take on Alfred Cole for his IBF Cruiserweight title, it was to be McCrory's last fight.

But the question I need answered is, "who was McCrory's cornerman/cornermen for this fight?"

It would be much appreciated if anyone can tell me the answer to this.

Failing that, if anybody knows of any boxing archives that have this fight, be them online or you have to send off for the videos it would also be helpful.

Without being confrontational maybe the mods would like to look at my Tyson-Douglas thread........and ask themselves where they were when It wa being hijacked and "Fat, arrogant yankee" statements were flying about....

I'll start refraining when my threads get more protection..

Not at all. I'll happily answer.

I have tried, on many occasions, to protect good and interesting threads, only to be met with whinging and whining about ' censoring free speech ' and ' not allowing any fun.'

The ' Off topic ' thread is there for a purpose, but the last time I directed a conversation there I was met with backside flinging.

This is a boxing section, first and foremost, and it's time to treat it like one.

Davie appears to have taken a dislike to me, and bearing in mind i did try to PM him (has it been removed) i may as well voice how i almost cried as a result.*

I don't have alot of time for posters who by their own actions caused a "news" thread for certain fighters following incessant spamming.

And that is a factual statement, if anything is wrong with the above i'd like to know as i'm not telling porkies. I don't like him as a poster because of said reason above, sue me.

Sorry Truss, didn't see this earlier. A top boxing author, though I daresay that has been explained to you elsewhere in this thread. Exactly the type of member we are trying to attract to this site, hence why the general behaviour of the masses needs to improve if they are to a) become attracted to this site and b) stay attracted to this site.

No disrespect to you Fists but the site seems to be becoming more & more obsessed with being some sort of boutique forum that attracts authors and celebrities etc while making sure the "common" posters stay in line. Don't get on here much with work but the majority of the boxing forum have migrated from the old 606 and its a decent community with some great posters and a nice mix of the serious and banter. All I see these days is these posters being reprimanded or warned about their behaviour etc for fear that someone important reading might get offended. These are the same posters who are the bread and butter of the boxing forum and have made it as successful as it is.

You see the words "Violent Incident" and you tell me the first thing that comes into your head? A fight.

Besides, the press are saying that it was a heart attack, an onlooker is quoted as saying:

"I did not see him fall as I was facing the other way but I turned immediately to see him unconscious.

"There did not appear to be any fight before; I cannot confirm this as I did not see it, but there was no excess noise or shouting that signalled a fight."

I did jump to conclusions I'll admit, but I'll stand by my word with that football "firms" and thugs ruin the enjoyment of a game.

I just read that the guy suffered head injuries after a cardiac arrest. Heart attack = fell over = bashed head.

Well iv read accounts on facebook of people who were there and they said definitely violence was involved. Its not even clear if the Welsh fans arrested are even fully in connection with this incident. So many rumours and so many reports. The only thing I do know how devastated his wife is gonna be. Aint seen her in a while. How do you get over something like this like
