Boxing Question
First topic message reminder :
On the 16th of July 1993 McCrory went to Russia to take on Alfred Cole for his IBF Cruiserweight title, it was to be McCrory's last fight.
But the question I need answered is, "who was McCrory's cornerman/cornermen for this fight?"
It would be much appreciated if anyone can tell me the answer to this.
Failing that, if anybody knows of any boxing archives that have this fight, be them online or you have to send off for the videos it would also be helpful.
Thanks
D4

And it begins...
Regardless of someones posting past unless they have been banned from the site then they have the right to post. You have the right to choose if you read it. Very simple.
Or we can just let another reasonable thread deteriorate into bitching about members and admin. On a boxing forum. Quality.

Or could just get rid of the problem before it starts again, seems like a bloody simple and obvious solution to me.

Re: Boxing Question
Here is an even better 'bloody simple and obvious solution' - use the foe feature, if you don't like him.
Re: Boxing Question
There wasn't a problem until everyone started whinging. Things happened in the past that people didn't like. Fair enough. But there is nowt wrong with this post so why all the aggro?

Gotta love admins sticking up for a guy they banned
Just wait for the first you know who article to come along and watch it all kick off. Go check eastside (or wherever it was) for what his agenda is, not that you need to telling.

Re: Boxing Question
D4's hiatus was of his own doing, he was not banned, just chose not to post here.
Or instead of it 'all kicking off' why don't you all just grow up and ignore anything you don't like? As I've said, there is a very handy tool in the foe feature, which allows you to block out his posts.
Of course, you wouldn't want to do that though, would you, because your here to run your mouth, not talk boxing. How silly of me.

Re: Boxing Question
You are right JACKMAGIC unfortunately it is just a small group of posters who think this is their private site and if they dont agree with you they start slagging you off saying you are thick or juvinile. I dont get it if they hate it so much then why log on or if they know so much more why not set up their own site where they can make their own rules and kick people off for having their own point of view??

He may have had a temporary ban at some stage in the past, there aren't many here that haven't, but he certainly was not banned this time around.
If you don't like it Ghosty, allow me to show you the door.

Coxy - I for one am getting quite sick of your continuous undermining of Fists and Windy on here. I'm not the only one either.
Firstly, though we don't normally discuss bans in public I can tell you that D4 received a "short" ban for a relatively minor offence. Not a permanent ban. You yourself have been on the wrong end of a temporary ban. Others in your little clique have too - and in some cases even permanent bans which have later been revoked on appeal and promise of good behaviour (which often doesn't happen anyway).
You should know by now that us admins and mods stick together. Your (and others) continuous undermining of the boxing mods and admins will not be tolerated. Consider this a FINAL warning before you are shown the door (again)

I tried that, and it doesn't really work 'cause you're left with threads which look like people are talking to the voices in their heads.

welcome back D4, enjoying your warm welcome? sorry dont know the answer to the question though.
just a point for those complaining, if you see a threat written by D4 and dont want to talk to him or use the foe thingy, then just dont read the thread. wow it all seems so easy when you say it like that.

Bit of an assumption.
I feel he brings a bit of variety to the arguments on here.
Makes a change reading him and Coxy going at rather than the same tired old tiffs that yourself and Dave have.

Stop having digs at other members. Windy, Fists & Oxy are working endlessly to help with the smooth running of this section and it keeps getting thrown back in their face with petty squabbles and bickering.
Either it stops, or find yourselves on the wrong end of a 7 day ban.
We have had enough. It stops now.

Re: Boxing Question
Admin,
This is not an attempt to demean anyone, but I'd like to make the following point.
Quite often certain posters treat this forum (boxing) as their own personal fiefdom whereby any dissenting voices are shouted down, often in a condescending and bullying manner. When this becomes the prevailing atmosphere, the whole point of having a forum, ie. discussion and debate, is lost.
Some of us are admittedly not boxing guru's but ALL opinions, as long as they are within the remit of the rules of the forum, should be respected. Surely if someone does not agree with an opinion it is better to offer a well constructed alternative, rather than to hurl petty and personal insults.
I think this is more likely to foster interesting debate and also encourage lurkers, who have not yet registered, to do so, thus ensuring the future expansion of this forum.

That is spot on, and exactly the point we have been trying to make on about 300 different occasions.
Any more personal insults from this point on are going to be deleted without explanation, and if the culprit is someone that we have had words with before they'll receive a temporary ban. We are through with multiple warnings to individual posters, and some are on the verge of striking out.
How do people expect the likes of Clay Moyle to stick around when he reads this garbage. Likewise, how do you expect us to attract new members, or entice fighters into doing Q&A's/interviews with us. In short, they won't, and that is why it stops now.
