Did anyone do this horror last Saturday, the 17th. September?
Less than half an Etape's length but in its own way more nasty!
If you enjoy foul road surfaces, treacherous descents, leg-numbing gradients of up to 21%; an undulating profile than prevents any meaningful rhythm, few large groups to tag along with; bumps causing bananas to break 'twix hand and lips, bars half eaten and gels spilt...then this is the ride for you!
OK, I'm annoyed 'cause I missed Gold by a few minutes again, despite not unclipping for the whole ride.
