Week 8
Biggest news so far is Gabbert down with an injury only one QB left on the roster. Anyone think they regret cutting Garrard now?

Yep, everything's an hour earlier than usual today as the clocks haven't gone back in the US yet.

Gabbert's back with cracked ribs but he can barely move, unsurprisingly.

Rams actually look interested this week. Defence in particular look sharp.

Re: Week 8
I thought St Louis were going to be Rams to the slaughter this week at the hands of the 62-7 Colts.
I bet they are Feeley-ing good now.
What is up with the Dolphins and keeping a lead?

Streaming and my internet connection don't mix very well, what caused the little "fight" in the Patriots @ Steelers game?

Re: Week 8
Just heard a pretty crazy stat, every time in nfl history a team has scored 60+points they have a combined record in their next game of 2-7

Can Tim Tebow actually throw the ball to a teammate?

Tebow has just thrown a TD pass...
...unfortunately it was for the Detroit Lions.

Re: Week 8
So Sunday's games are done and in the history books.
Personal highlights:
Victor Cruz's tackle shredding winning TD
Patriots losing
My brother's Bengals going 5-2
Hoping for an Eagles win tonight as it would put us TWO games clear. I wouldn't have thought we'd be in this position after week 1 at FedEx.

Re: Week 8
The 49ers are now four wins clear in the NFC West. They are now 6-1 for the season and 7-9 won that division last year.

Re: Week 8
Heard an interesting stat on TV last night, of the 8 teams that scored 60 points or more, the following week their record was 2-6...the saints now make that 2-7...

I knew when my Cards were up 24 - 6 they were destined to lose. It's sad when you know that no lead is safe.

Felt exactly the same, couldnt understand some of the defensive play calling putting our 2/3 corner when he was already getting burnt and the offence just looked remarkably unspectacular as usual. (tough year)

Re: Week 8
Just read this: "Luke McCown threw two passes for the Jaguars on Sunday, and they both fell incomplete. His quarterback rating was still higher than Blaine Gabbert’s by the end of the day." I would expect they either regret cutting Garrard or deciding Gabbert was the guy worth trading up for.GB1919 wrote:Biggest news so far is Gabbert down with an injury only one QB left on the roster. So happy to say the niners have the best D in the league right now in my opinion.

I think its too early to tell whether Gabbert will be good or not, especially when you consider that Jags have pretty much the worst WR core in the whole of the NFL, Mercedes Lewis seems to have all but dissapeared and their O line is doing a poor job of protection.
