The Tree of the WWE

This is a group opinion on how the wwe views its roster (I have not included the Diva's), at the moment, in terms of importance to the company. It is based upon the following criteria:

Level 1 - Vital to the company and PPV headliners with proven drawing ability
Level 2 - Important to the top story lines but cannot main event successfully without it being alongside a Level 1 competitor
Level 3 - Strong upper card / mid carder with regular and logical TV time - appear at all / nearly all PPV's
Level 4 - Solid mid carder with regular TV time and story lines - appear at most PPV's
Level 5 - Mid carders who appear on TV most weeks - occasional PPV appearances
Level 6 - Superstars / lower card talent who may be put into story lines as enhancement talent - get their annual run at the Rumble
Level 7 - Superstars / lower card talent with no obvious story line at present, any TV time will be as a jobber

New additions to roster will automatically go on Level 7 until the next tree alteration.

I will be updating the tree based on comments after each PPV. The tree will be based upon the time leading to that PPV in question, and the PPV results itself. Therefore, you can comment on standings at anytime and the opinions will be counted after that PPV and any changes made will be done a few days after.

Based on him getting a lot of mic time and the commentators talking him up. Barrett would be above Ryder Kane and Swagger wouldn't he?

Feel free to list more suggestions guys. The current tree will be altered a few days after Survivor Series, so people can comment on the card. It will show the previous months activities and the Survivor Series results itself.

So if you think someone is too high or too low based upon what has been going on in the WWE for the past few weeks, then please give us your opinions.

Also, I have added Hunico, Epico and Primo onto Level 7 until the next tree change.

Greggers....I think you are right (remember he had been pretty much unseen for weeks beforehand, hence his low ranking). Anyone else agree? Who else needs to move?

I can't even remember the last time A-Ri was on TV! I think it may have been the sandbag incident with swagger, if he doesn't feature before or at SS which is very unlikely then he should prob be moved down.

Firstly I'd say Barrett jumps out as a candidate to go up a level or two, maybe to three, but at least four.

I'd also wonder whether Sheamus could be bumped up to level two.

Other than that I don't disagree with anything -- although I imagine you could make a case to include The Rock now? Level one, obviously.

I would have Barrett at 3, and Sheamus at 2. I would say Ziggler and Rhodes are both between 3 and 2 at the moment, so a case could be made for either.

Kane and Bryan i think needs moving up

I actually can't see any changes in my opinion Twist!

Nash inactive and moved down to level 3

Rhodes moved up to level 2

Kane moved up to level 3, if not level 2

Ryder moved up to level 3

Bryan moved up to level 3, if he holds his title past the rumble then possibly level 2

Ryan moved down to level 6

Kidd added to level 7

Brodus Clay is inactive atm

Primo and Epico moved up to level 5

Gabriel to level 6

I think most of Gregers' moves are movements for movement's sake. I agree with the Bryan move to 3, and the Ryan move down to 6. I think Primo & Epico are borderline 5/6, and would lean toward 6 until they string a couple more weeks of TV time together. I wouldn't move Nash, Rhodes, Kane (yet), or Ryder at all. What has Gabriel done to move up?

Gabriel is featuring regularly on Smackdown now, by the definitions that puts him level 6

I see him as a "lower card talent with no obvious story line at present, any TV time will be as a jobber", but I generally FF whenever he's on so might've missed him winning a fight or two.

Changes made

Surely Miz and Del Rio have to be in 1 or 2, they have been involved in every major story line and main evented almost all PPV's between the 2 of them since early summer.

Definitely more so than Rhodes and Ziggler who are yet to main event any PPV and are barely involved in the main storyline.... so by simple definition they should be switched.

Barrett, Del Rio and Miz up to 2.
Ziggler and Rhodes down to 3.
Mysterio, Truth and Christian up to 3.
Hunico up to 5.
Ryan down to 7.

I think Slater has been on enough Smackdown's in a row to be a Level 6er now

Reks, Tatsu and Kidd are all B-Show talent. Booker is a commentator. Slater is a Smackdown regular!

Chavo was a RAW regular who also happened to be in a program with Hornswoggle, we all know what happened to him

He was a mouth though.

I think Heath can't be in the bottom grouping if he is on TV every single week (proper TV - not Superstars or NXT)

He's a jobber though, you'd not put Iron Mike Sharpe in anything other than the bottom group back in 1991 yet he was on TV week in week out just llosing to everyone

I don't think losing is that important so long as you have a story that's going placers, if you do then it's ok, if not you're just jobbing for comic humour

This story ain't taking him places, or at least not in the right direction anyway

Taking everything on board as usual. Next change will be after the next PPV (Rumble?). Let us see what the lead up is to that, and the aftermath of the event.

Swagger up to level 3
Clay up to level 4 or 5
Ryan down to level 6
DiBiase up to level 5
McIntyre added to level 7 (or maybe 6, he is getting regular TV time)
R-Truth up to level 3

Ahhhh man, come on don't be like that. At least do it for me. I have 4 months worth of data that I will put up in October. It is a pet project of mine.

I think Jericho and Clay needs to move up.....Ryan/Bourne needs to move down. Miz and Del Rio move down one. And Nash taken out entirely.

Id put Rhodes down one, and Bryan and Kane up to Level 2
Nash down to Level 4 (or maybe even lower)

I'd leave Miz where he is for now TwisT, he's an upper midcarder in a hot(ish) feud and did well in the rumble.

Jericho needs to be level 1 or 2 in my opinion, possibly 1 as he is a proven main eventer

Jericho's not actually in a storyline yet, so I think he should stay where he is.

Unless you count his video - which still makes no sense
Or is "end of the world" - which as yet makes no sense

Until either is explained, and proved to be at all relevant, I don't think he's any higher

Since October, Bryan and Barrett have both gone up 2 levels. Hopefully as the months pass we will have more fluctuations

Clay and Miz up a level, Rhodes and Ziggler down.

Drew MacIntosh to level 6 due to his minor story line involvement. Mason Ryan and Alex Riley should be level 7 now. Although he has the heat of a snowball, Mahal should probably be up to level 6.

Interesting that only one of our "Level 1" wrestlers was involved in the Rumble...

As much as it pains me to say it Mahal needs to go up at least 1 level. He's on tv almost every week.

The Miz up one due to past achievements and how even though he is currently floating in upper mid card he can main event at the drop of a dime.
Kingston up one.
Nash and Booker T tooken off completely.
Ryder down one.

On a side note, could anyone see Sheamus on level 1 by the end of the year if he is continued to be booked as strong as he is, wins the title at Mania and has a 3 month plus reign.
