Should The Rock vs Goldberg have been bigger?

Should it have? Two Icons of the industry who their respective companies were built around.

The Rock, 7 years in the ring, which is when most hit their peak, on the back of a successful heel turn.

Goldberg, one of the biggest faces to come out of WCW, held the biggest undefeated streak of the time (although altered), held the WCW US and Heavyweight titles at the same time.

Surely this should have been bigger than it was? For me its down to poor timing. The Rock was busy with Hogan and Austin the WrestleManias before Goldbergs debut, and thanks to McMahons ego, Goldberg was no where near the invasion.

It was a good feud for Goldberg to have, coming into the WWE and beating one of its biggest stars in your first match is a great way to push someone. Is it really just a case of right match, wrong time?

They just didn't build it enough, should of been a month longer and The Rock was booked to look so weak during the feud you never gave him any chance of winning, it could and should of been massive.
