Froch Ward Weigh in - Page 2 Empty Froch Ward Weigh in

Post by Seanusarrilius Fri Dec 16, 2011 9:48 pm

First topic message reminder :

Just watched it online.

Both Ward and Froch look like they know this is serious business.

Virgil Hunter was getting in the way during the square off which is annoying, go away Virgil.

Notts boys were making loads of noise.

Froch has some crazy definition I am not used to seeing with him.

Big ask but COME ON COBRA!

Fight camp 360 is great! Lets hope the cut is opened by Carl's gloves and the ref sees it that way. Carl ripping open Ward's eye is a potential way he will win!

I hope not - I want one fight to go through without any excuses - whether they are justified or not. Just sort this in the ring - no whining no moaning. Just Boxing.

Wards gotta keep moving and use his boxing skills. He is pretty tough on the inside as well. This is fight of his life. Lets hope he plays the fight not the occasion. He is a cool character though. COME ON WARD

I totally agree. Even Froch to be fair said he wants to win on points or KO and not have any cut spoiling the fight creating controversy or leaving any doubts. No cuts please. Just pure boxing from Ward

If he opens it with his gloves there can be no excuses! Some boxers cut easier than others and its about taking advantage.

I agree about it scoring wise. Boxing doesn't need another bad decision on the score cards!

I agree, the hope is for no excuses for controversy but when I said about Carl having a shot of winning that way, I was thinking it is a possibility for him.

Do you think a win on cuts is a hollow victory then, if it has been done by a cracking punch?

Am fairly new, not looking for an argument, just interested in what you lot (more knowledgable people) think.

No - Ward has a previous injury from a cut in octoberish time so people may seize on this as an excuse. A genuine one hit cut - anywhere else then fair enough - Just not THAT cut opening up again.

Dont worry no ones having a go fella. Just that after some fights have stopped prematurely people have been left feeling disappointed plus it always gives the fighter who loses a change to say they could have won if it wasnt for the cut. As I say I hope Wards cut doesnt open and Froch said he didnt want to win that way anyway so while I normally love a KO this fight is probably gonna be a 12 rounder and hopefully a good one at that
