Oyston won't let Holloway quit! Empty Oyston won't let Holloway quit!

Karl Oyston has reiterated he will not accept Ian Holloway's resignation following further talks with the Blackpool manager.

Blackpool were fined £25,000 by the Premier League on Thursday for fielding a weakened team in the 3-2 defeat at Aston Villa back in November.

Speaking at the time, Holloway threatened to quit as Blackpool boss if the club were punished for his decision to make sweeping changes to his team for the game at Villa Park.

Holloway has subsequently confirmed he intends to stand by his pledge and is ready to offer his resignation to the division's surprise packages.

However, acting chief executive Oyston will not let Holloway step down at Bloomfield Road if the manager does tender his resignation.

This is fantastic in my opinion, Holloway is a fantastic manager and has a great character.
