It just so much a British icon show , it wont translate to America unless they change things . But it will just be one of them shows id have to watch just to see how bad it was .

Most people said the same about The Office, that the humour in it wouldn't translate across the Atlantic. I've never watched the US version, but a lot of people have told me it is very good - if taken as a separate show.

That is the approach I'd take with this, look at it as a new show rather than an exact remake.
