Ok with all this talk that not one englishman would get into a lions- which in all fairness isnt that far from the truth due to the fact that England are using realitively new players with less experience, these players will undoubtedly become lions players mind(well some of them eventually)

Who would win.

Id back England all day long British and Irish lions v England 732107

Logically, normally England should win. Settled team against a scratch side, home advantage etc.

However, it's a pretty new team, still learning to play together which kind of nullifies that advantage.

Also, that would be one hell of a side, even without the English.

Couldn't call it to be honest.

However, like Carpe Diem, I'd pay good money to see it

1. Jenkins
2. Best
3. A. Jones
4. Ian Evans
5. POC
6. Lydiate
7. Warburton
8. Faletau
9. Phillips
10. Sexton
11. North
12. Jon Davies
13. BOD
14. Bowe
15. Halfpenny

This would be my call at the moment. Unfortunately I couldn't find a starting place for any Scots at the moment as there is, IMHO, a better player from Ireland or Wales in each position. My only call would be Gray but Ian Evans had a superb 6 nations in a GS winning team so he got the nod.

There would be lots of contentious calls even without any English being involved in this Celtic Lions.

Backrow is obviously one where both Wales and Ireland's backrows will in my opinion go to Aus next year, and even then players like Tipuric and Ryan Jones who have both done superbly when called upon. That's before we even get to Rennie and Denton who started the 6 nations with a bang but I thought fell away as Scotland's 6N's eventually did. I have just gone for the Wales unit en bloc as they have proved to work so well together. But how can you leave out players like Ferris and SOB?

Cuthbert/ Bowe - Cuthbert had a great 6N but is still raw as his game for the blues showed at the weekend and you can't argue with Bowe's scoring record.

J Davies at 12 for me is a much better player than Roberts.

BOD - Assuming he was back to somewhere near his best.

Halfpenny/ Kearney - maybe the most contentious with everyone in Ireland choosing one and everyone in Wales going for the other.

One thing is for sure I would not like to be picking the Lions squad next year. It has to be good for NH rugby that everyone will be looking to impress over the next 12 months. Looking forward to the June tours to see where we all stand.

I might put Kearney in for Halfpenny (arguable since Sexton can kick) but that's one hell of a side.
