The problem is that they've turned it into such a road. I'm not a curator but you'd need to grow a juicy one somewhere, then transplant it into the Lord's wicket area... in about April-May to let it take hold and a get a couple months of wear. Because the drainage is so good (even with the record rain) the damn thing now has a bad reputation for slow bowlers and is a batsman's paradise... rain, hail or shine.

Go get a check up with the Doc... tell them all, see what they say. I did that at the beginning of the year when I was feeling down and thinking something was seriously wrong with me but felt much better when they said all was OK and did a few blood tests, etc.

Seriously, alcohol is a real killer. Need to tread carefully. Half these idiots on here will be basket cases before they reach 40. I love a drink but I also know when to say enough. No prizes for destroying yourself... it's the opposite - misery. (had a family experience but luckily got it sorted 20 years ago... I feel so lucky doing what I did at the time)

Yeah, but it's a false feeling as you experience the aftermath now. The others would have felt the same as you then and also feel the same as you now most likely.

Loved it last time we went , for some reason they picked me to do the blindfold taste test ................. five glasses 3 different Jamesons 1 Scotch and 1 Yank ............. it was very easy to tell which were the real stuff ...but i did have to keep checking

Love a whiskey too... but also have a craving for brandy.
