Your Top 3 Raw Moments!

As we approach the 1000th episode of Raw, I ask you, what are your Top 3 Raw Moments since it began! It can be a match, a promo, a superstar returning. Maybe it didn't turn out great in the end but at the time, it could have felt like something really special!

Mine are:

3) Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle 30 minute Iron Man Match.

2) CM Punk's Promo.

1) Stone Cold comes out to smash The Rock over the head with a steel chair to help Mankind win his first title.

1.) Stone Cold's interrupts Mike Tyson Jan 98

2.) Stone Cold sprays The Corporation using a beer truck Nov 98

3.) Bret Hart hugs Shawn Michaels Jan 2010

Number 2 was my first thought to be honest

1) Stone Cold washes The Corporation down with beer- AMAZING!

2) Mike Tyson reveals himself as a member of DX...haha JR's reaction made that moment haha

3) Jericho's debut and opening promo- the build up was pretty special

1. Mankind's first title win

2. Stone Cold's first Stone Cold Stunner on Mr. McMahon

3. Undertaker returning to confront Kane in 1998 (Not a pivotal moment in wrestling history, but one I love none the less)

3. Stone Cold saves the WWF from the Alliance.

2. DX Barbeque after the Royal Rumble 98.

1. Hornswoggle being revealed as Mystery GM.

1) Stone Cold's face off with Mike Tyson

2) Marty Jannetty winning the IC Title

3) CM Punk's promo

Jannety's shock win as IC champ was fantastic! On the days were the secondary title meant something in the main event slot

Started watching in 2006:

1) Flair's farewell

2) Flair is the consortium/co-owner

1 Jericho's debut
2 Triple H's return to screw Austin out of beating Angle for the title (for JR's performance)

Another one I forgot about, the only way I could pick a top 3 is if I had every single moment in front of me to pick from, other wise impossible

Other great moments:

dx dressed up and impersonating the nation.

Kurt Angle and stone cold tiny cowboy hat

Stone Cold & Booker in the supermarket

And i remeber at the time when the new age outlaws put someone in a dumpster and pushed it off the stage, at the time this was major and really started pushing the limits of what we had been used too.

Yes! This is much funnier than the Austin Beer attack.

My top 3:

1: Mankind winning the title from The Rock for the 1st time
2: Kurt's milk bath on the alliance
3: DX invades WCW

1. Mankind's first title win.


2. Tyson and Austin.


3. Kane coming to run off DX when they were beating up the Undertaker. Jim Ross' commentary of the aftermath always gives me goosebumps; "Kane extending his hand in some sort of bond, or friendship.....AND THE UNDERTAKER'S RETURNING IT! OH WHAT A MOMENT!"


Although if you ask me again tomorrow I'll probably have a different Top 3!!

Reading through this makes you realise just how many truely great moments RAW has had.

I started watching around 2001, no particular order and like others I have many more:

1. Punk promo

2. The Rock returns 2011

3. HBK super kick to Shelton Benjamin, where Shelton jumped off the ropes from one side of the ring to the other, only for HBK to get up and give him a monster SCM. Again, JR's commentary and Kings reaction make the moment.

Its a tremendous achievement that it is the longest running weekly television program. For all the flack wrestling takes in the media, from friends who let's be honest think its a bit stupid, is a tremendous achievement.

HBK's superkick to Shelton only just missed out on number 3 on my list. Also that match was for Shelton's and JR's reaction when Michael's music hit.

"HBK is back in the title hunt. We are in for a treat here"


Something like that anyway.

Another moment put over insanely well by JR

1. Bret and Shawn's public conciliation

2. Stone Cold's showering the Corporation in beer

3. CM Punk's "shoot" promo

I am very surprised at the number of people who have CM Punk's promo on there, I would have thought memories of it have soured after how WWE really failed to pull the trigger on it properly.

I certainly don't get the goosebumps I first did when I watched it soon after it happened.

Ah i'm not the only 1 to top 3 that then!

In no particular order.

1. Stone Cold breaks into Pillmans house, I remember being on the edge of my seat when that gun shot went off.

2. Mankinds first title win, great moment, Foley put my ass in that seat, shame my night was ruined by switching over to Nitro after.

3. Flair returns and is announced as co owner.

That said i could easily do a top 20 Raw moments if I put my mind to it. There have been so many.

No, I thought it was brilliantly done, particularly in this time where the dirt sheets normally reveal any big storyline way before it starts, to have something like that happen completely unexpected was brilliant. Shame they didn't capitalise on the angle.

I agree Mat. It could of been amazing. WWE really did screw it up.

Surprised no one has mentioned Vince McMahon announcing he owns WCW, possibly the biggest moment in pro wrestling history.

Me too having Raw & Nitro simultaneously on the same channel must have been wierd

1- The 1-2-3 Kid Defeats Razon Ramon (i think I was so shell shocked at the time that I would make this number 1)

2- DX invades WcW (I remember watching this and think WTF are they doing at WCW, I thought they had signed for them initially)

3 - This is your life The Rock, hosted by Mankind (had me in stitches throughout)

1. When DX poured crap all over the McMahon's and the spirit squad at the top of the stage.

2. Shawn Michael's return when he super kicked Randy orten.

3. When the big boss man turned face.

That segment was one of the funniest things I've seen. When Mcmahon's music hit and Triple H walked out dressed as him. Shane's music hits JR: 'Oh now you've done it' Out walks HBK dressed as Shane King 'Oh No!!!'. Everything was funny about the segment, then the crap at the end was the icing on the cake.

Thought I had just remembered another great Raw moment. When Mankind 'morphed' into Cactus Jack in front of HHH. However I then realised it happened on Smackdown. Oh well............

Quite a toughie

1) Austin/Taker Summerslam Promo with the hearse August 1998.

2) HHH/Austin NWO contract signing Jan 2001. Just ingenius with the signature thing.

3) The Radicalz invade Raw Jan 2000.
