It's quite uplifting coming last actually...

Was going to have a chat or two but just found out footie is on down the pub so im off again

I was supposed to be at breakfast in Bronte now but had to call up mate to bail out. I was up all night (just about) watching Oz losing the hockey and basketball.

I fell asleep just as we were beating Hungary for Bronze in the Men's Water Polo.

Went to the pub to watch the 'Pool win

Was that the Gomel match? The mate above is also a huge 'Pool fan and he said "... oh well, I'll watch some Liverpool TV instead"

Yes 3 nil tonight 4 nil overall , actually looked good in parts aswell

So tired... need to rest more. Bloody sun was so strong but has now risen from eye level.

Thinking of going to bed myself , but just watching a show about a bloke in America who had a small zoo which he let out of their cages then shot himself

Wild winds of the weather variety. Roof blown an off office block not far way from here.
After 22 degrees the other day... we have now had the coldest day.
It sort of reminds me of NZ with that rain and freezing cold air and the look of the trees.

Hurricane still going. I had to close that last half inch on the sliding doors. I was trying to equalise the wind pressure.

Which forum are you referring to? It may also be some kind of awakening. I tried to hint that before the Games began but I was brushed aside by some posters. It's funny reading all the over-reaction now.

They played very well tonight up at Gosford in a 60km/h gale. We won 23-6

Fantastic day , got to much sun though need a cold shower

It pays to put the sunscreen on early on those hot days. I sometimes even get sunburn down one side whilst driving. The sun can be very harsh here.

Jeez that'd be no good for me! I can burn in about 15 minutes up here when the sun's at it's strongest. Thank heavens for factor 50!

Some days it's more like 5-10 mins.

The general rule here is never expose yourself to the strong sun between 11am and 1pm... but on those really scorching hot days it should be between 9:30am and 3:30pm.

And always wear a hat. I bet you look great in one, Swanny.

I would fry!! That's what being fair skinned does for you!

We get similar time guidelines here but I'm not convinced people take notice. Probably because of the climate we live in. Any hint of the sun and people are out making the most of it! The number of skin cancer cases here has risen quite drastically.

I do own some sun hats and always wear one. In fact I bought a new one the other day, might just have to wear it when I head out later. Tis a lovely day here

I can testify to the Aussie sun, its really scorchio

I lathered the kids in sunscreen 3 or 4 times but only put some on myself once
