Always love the Ryder cup ...and always admire how you Europeans overachieve!!!!

However this time I can't see how you can possibly win!!!

Westwood is looking past it, Kaymer is out of sorts........ and Lawrie, Molinari, Colseart (check spelling) just don't seem to be Ryder cup quality!!

Out of the rest of your team Poulter, Mcdowell, Donald, Rose, Garcia...yes what a quality bunch who can rise to the occasion!! and If it was 11-11 with those still to play I'd fancy you for the job...

But home advantage with our strength in depth....(No Ricky Fowler!!!)

Figure it will be 10-6 going into the singles and 16-12 or worse come sunday night!!

Hope you push us close........fear you won't though!!

Trussman, you keep dodging the fact that no American has a good record in this event and you have a lot of rookies, plus you've only won three times in 25 years. Hardly a terrifying prospect for Europe.

Colsaerts is also cool as ice as long as Watson and Johnson but much much straighter.

It's as close a Ryder cup to call as there ever has been , and no, you know nothing about golf, quite demonstrably. It might just be the cat calls of your moronic banterless fans which give you the point you need.

To be fair you've subsequently risen to a decent debate with some good points but some obvious flaws too. I take it that you are U.S. based and therefore will have a blind spot to players who predominantly ply their trade on the European Tour. I do hope DL3 has the same blind spot but I seriously doubt it. I'm sure he'll be well aware of the capabilities of the players you supposedly see as the weak links.

I think most Europeans will concede that Kaymer is not in anything like the form he should be in but with the talent he has that can change at any point, especially if he gets an early point or even half point.

Lawrie?? are you serious? He's in way better form now than in his last appearance when he won 3.5 points out of 5 in the cauldron of Brookline.
Colsaerts?? Long and straight and has won a big matchplay event this year. One of the fastest risers on the European OoM
Molinari?? Very very steady with a swing highly unlikely to ever come apart even under the severest of pressure (admittedly I do still worry a bit about his putting)

The other important factor and seriously it could work either way, is that the Europeans have only 1 rookie whereas the Yanks have several. Some of the rookies will be a big hit but I'd guess that for at least one or 2, the occasion will get the better of them. We shall see

I really don't see more than a point in it either way but I wouldn't bet the house on which way I think it will go which will clearly make for exciting viewing...bring it on!!!

As for lawrie, well he only has to look at Monty to see what can be done by the older player in a Ryder cup.

Lets get it right...it's a diddy Cup.

It is not that the weak European players can't win. I would imagine that one of them - Westwood, Lawrie, Hanson, Kaymer - will surprise everyone and play like a champ. It's just that all four of them are not going to do it, and some of the stronger European players are going to have a bad day or run into an American having a career day.

Is Mr Trussman available for comment ?

I didnt think the article was patronising. Personally I though it was pretty accurate and the type of banter that makes these Ryder cups pretty interesting. At the end of the day it was very close as expected. Europe pulling something special out of the bag in the end. It really could have gone either way though. europes captain's pick Ian Poulter being the difference in the end.

Also I was disapointed that it was Steve Stricker who lost the deciding match as Ive always been a fan having spend a lot of time in his hometown Madison WI which isnt too far from Medina. Its also probably gonna be his last Ryder cup.

Should be woods and Mickelsons last too. Dreadful, even although Mickelson is a vent and great sport.
