Countries for Reboot

Zidane - Italy
Russell - Germany
Treble - Germany
Marky - Spain
Nadeem - England
Olly - Italy
Hero - Spain
Gregers - Spain
Fernando - England
Sodhat - Italy
Twist - Germany
Viva - England
Afro - Italy
Bull - Germany
New Player - Spain
Tooze - England

Here’s how it basically works.
You have a budget of 100m to purchase a squad with the following stipulations:

1. You MUST have a minimum of 6 players from the country designated to you.
2. You MUST have a minimum of 3 players that were born on or after 1st October 1991.
3. You CANNOT go over the squad limit of 25.

To buy your squad then you must make sealed bids for the players. How this works is that you check the value of the players on TM, the MINIMUM cost is what their value is on there, but you can bid more than that as others may wish to buy that player. The maximum value of a player that you can bid for is £12m although may wish to bid more than that in order to acquire him.
So for example;
Bull places a sealed bid of 875k for Paul Scholes as that is the TM value.
Viva places a sealed bid of 1m for Scholes as he thinks others may be bidding for him.

Viva therefore wins.

ALL squads are PM’d to myself and a designated neutral party (to ensure fairplay I will send my squad list first so it cannot be said I’ve gazumped anyone). I then reveal who has got which player in the first draft.
We continue the process until everyone has then spent up and we move onto the Star Player bid which works under the same principle although you have a budget of 25m + whatever remained from your normal bids for ONE player who has a value up to 25m

Clarification: Betting players or money between 2 clubs is strictly prohibited

Can me and Nando swap please?

But because he is being a complete Bar Steward, can his budget remain at £100M and mine will be £90M so I take the £5M hit for both. We are both happy with this

Morning one and all.

Plans for Reboot

Countries draft wise everyone has been assigned a country from which your club will be based (see OP for countries assigned)

You have a £100m budget + a £25m star player budget this time around.

You have to pick 6 homegrown players (players eligible to play for that country).
You have to pick 3 u21 players.

The u21 players can also be homegrown so they tick both boxes.

Note: If anyone is really not happy with the country they have received to the point where they don't think they will take part or it won't be enjoyable please tell me, this is meant to be fun so if it's defeating that objective then we need to know.

Morning

Just because you are a certain country don't mean others can't sign those players. I'm happy with England, the most exposure can be good and bad. I think the new league should have been announced near the end of this one.

Agreed
country don't mean others can't sign those players
Oh yeah I get that. But as im the only one whos Portugal I can see someone buying one of their best players, eg Moutinho then trying to sell to me for an inflated price. People with England will have much more of a range of players available to them, who here knows how good Under 21 players of Portugal are? But a lot of us here know how good Under 21's players of England are.Having a country like Portugal comes with its restrictions and difficulties. Only one person has Brazil but their players are better known, even their under 21's are better known.

We're ditching the cup for this season so it's only got a max of 4 weeks left as it is and a number of people wanted to start scouting for their squads in advance.

Someone must've put the scorers from the other game in the vote, as all three were in the Go Ahead Eagles v Real Nadrid game.

I stayed up to 1:30 last night watching American football.

Oakland beat Pittsburgh with the last kick though, so take that Hero! (not that you likely care...)

Extra goals are added when you get 3 more win votes than your opponent, so that'll be where the extras came from Zidane.
