Change to cash bonuses?

Following a few points that the league is a little starved of cash, it has been proposed that we change the cash bonuses.

It would be £1m to all managers each week, plus £1.5m bonus for submitting tactics and votes on time, and votes including sufficient reasoning (i.e. max of £2.5m per week).

So the vote is:

Change it to the above, or keep it the same

Azzy and Viva voted for change it:

- if you can't vote / do tactics, you currently get nothing, which makes it impossible to get new players in

- the injuries change would only mean that players would be swapping teams, with no new players coming in

- we need to be able to afford new players; at £1m per week, you get just £7m each league season, which won't even get you a first team player from TPs, never mind a player from the league

- everyone having cash might see us do some inter-league deals, because the prices I'm seeing quoted (Jenkinson for £12m?) are barmy.

- I like to buy Viva pretty things, and with extra moolah I can get us matching his-and-his jet-skis

Correct Azzy, although including the cup, the season is 13 weeks, so if you don't vote or submit tactics at all, you would be able to bring in 1 player at the rough value of TP limits per season, whilst if you do it every week that increases to 2-3 players, which seems fair

So if you're out of the cup you get the £1m just for voting? I didn't expect that.

£13m is still pretty low though...it is after all one average/decent player from TPs, and only buys you Cristiano Ronaldo's glutes.

How about a cash injection now? Say 10 million for all teams. Then the new system?

Subjectively, I like that idea as I get £10m more, objectively its a little unfair on someone like Trebs who sold Pedro to raise cash for other signings/

Except for now that trebs is in a great position with the money from pedro and the 10 million.

I think any lump sum injection would be unfair to anyone that has saved up cash / made deals to get cash. Trebs in particular though, if that happened and I was him I'd quit for the 17th time

But seeing as we have 8 yes votes and 0 no votes, I think this issue is already settled

I vote against this. We should keep it as it is, with rules changing next season. The point of this league was the slow improvement.

How about we get £13m (Max TP as of next Monday) and Trebs gets £25m Star Player for a star player bid with any left over going into his budget ????

I think the simple change to the weekly bonus is sufficient. It's not like Trebs lost out value wise. He didn't give Pedro away

Glad it's all agreed. Though with the Lawyers offers today, there seems to be a rush of inter-league deals on the verge of being done.

And it's Tuesday, not Monday.

Hopefully deals are starting to get going, although I did notice that a lot of the cash that came into the league, soon went back out through TPs

TPs is an issue, but a lot of money does come in through Lawyers...
