Enough is enough. Warren Gatland, come back. We are sliding into the 3rd world abyss of international rugby union. Drop your Lions role and come back and fix this sorry mess.

As I posted elsewhere, Wales need to stop this lax approach to coaches taking up other opportunities. No one else does it because they recognise the problems it will cause. Graham Henry got sacked after he went, last tour we had 3 coaches away for a long time and it caused problems, this time our head coach is gone for a year (although he's got a 'bat phone' to Howley's bedside line somall is fine, apparently). Give them the ultimatum: "We're paying you a sh*it load of money. If you want the contract then stay and see it out. If to want to jog off half way through they you're not that committed". CPD is one thing, but when it's to the detriment of the organisation then you need to cut it out.

It was a mistake to let Gatland take a sabbatical. There is no reason why he couldn't have fulfilled his Lion's role whilst being a current international coach. International coaches can be part-time - like Shaun Edwards. Part-time coaches in clubs, however, do not work well - like Shaun Edwards. Wasps really suffered when he left for the Six Nations. I will hold my judgement as to how he does at London Irish.

"this time our head coach is gone for a year" -- Gatland is back in charge for our next loss to NZ and Aus (our last 2 Autumn international games).
