What about underrated? Mkhytarryan is one that immediately springs to mind

Ashley Cole's performance in the CL final was the greatest by a LB in my 30 years. It was incredible, he literally held that defence and left side together by his boot laces.

He's not been his usual best this season, but with the situation at Chelsea who can blame him? CB partnerships change most games, his cover ahead of him (Hazard) is non-existent.

Baines meanwhile is great going forward, but lacks Cole's defensive brain. That's why Cole has been and will continue to be England's LB (until injuries / age cripple him).

Baines has been distinctly average for England in his last 3/4 appearances.

My Top 5 would be:

5. Scholes

Mkhytarryan is overspelt

Good player is cAshley but the way the pundits + media talk about him he's the best thing since sliced bread. Not overrated on here though, I might add (well, he wasn't when I was here).

Who rates Carrick? If anything Carrick is underated. Why is Scholes in there? He deserves the praise he gets.

Cashley is still a top LB, although his performances have been steadily dropping over the last two and a bit seasons.

I would argue that Baines is his match defensively now. That side of his game has always been what he needed to improve and that is what he has done. His positioning now is top quality and it is rare a winger makes him look daft

In each of the last 2 seasons you have been saying Baines should be in the Premier League Team of the Year ahead of Cole. Is Cole still better, but it's just a 2 season blip.

Carrick = overrated by United fans, underrated by non-United fans. he is probably somewhere in the middle. And is that Scholes or Scholes+?

Baines has been simply superb this season, really sured his defensive side of his game up like Afro said.

And the set pieces and attacking threat he offers, it must be a nightmare to try and defend

Its true Cole blows Baines, it's not an allegation I've seen it with my own eyes.

Don't blame you Fandabbydozie, Hummels is the best defender in the league. There's 5/6 truly world-class defenders, and he's the best of them.

yeah I know, can get decent players from foreigns without having to lose him..

when people want double what players are worth on TM and Hummels is worth more then £45m is the lowest i would go lol

Whilst he's my guy so obviously I'm biased I'm surprised Iraizoz hasn't scraped into the top 5 lists as he was one of if not the best keeper in La Liga last season

One thing I did learn is that the keepers aren't as good as I thought they were going to be.

I started going through the teams and discounted players, but then had to go back to them.

Muniain, El Shawaaray, Reus are all wingers so should be in midfield category surely?

Unnerstall is a quality keeper as well

I think they're forwards by definition

We need a top 5 wingers as well

Ive done my team it took me a while and I included wingers and CM in same category.

I voted for Milito, I've done my voting, found the midfield very hard to do and suprised with the quality of strikers.
