Well done for putting this up mate, I can't wait til we're on midfielders, it's been a great year for quite a few!

Kompany for me he's not had the greatest of starts to the 2012/2013 season but over the course of 2012 he was a colossus and unplayable in spells. His strength and presence alone make hin invaluable to city but its his ability to read the game and lead the team that really stand him out from his other English based counterparts.

He led the team to their first premier league title and was the difference in that epic encounter at eastlands vs Utd. There are plenty on that list that come close but Kompany is at the top.

Gone for Giorgio Chiellini, he is an absolute beast of a CB. Strong, aggressive, great presence, good decision making and a natural leader.

Had an epic 2012 as well, part of the all Italian back 4 at Juve with Barzagli, Bonucci and of course Buffon, which helped the club to the Scudetto undefeated.

Part of the squad with Italy which reached the final of the Euros in the summer and has seen Juve again top Serie A at a distance this season and are dark horses for the CL.

Gone Barzagli, Cahill and Hummels.

Interesting...Hummels, Kompany, Chiellini are the top 3. I only voted for one of those, but can't really argue with the result. Probably about right.
