There's a spot for an NIQ outhalf, but it'll be hard to fill it if the IRFU insist on Madigan being first choice. You've brought in Shaun Berne and Mat Berquist to fill that role before and neither has stuck around.

Berquist was injured for the whole of last season when we already had Sexton and Mads so he was never going to stick around. We'd like to have him now though!

He's playing shyte for Biarritz. And Madigan got his break BECAUSE Berquist got injured. And because McKinley had to retire.

Both Berne and Berquist were surplus to requirements. It's not like they were wanted but left.

Berne played 3 Magners games in his 2nd season and 1 bench. Berquist replaced him and played 1 game and came on as a sub in another.

He's got to be a solid player though Jen. I mean he was 2nd choice fly half for the Crusaders not so long ago. He would be a good backup to Mads imo.
