Record: 10-6
Offensive Rank: 5th (Passing: 20th, Rushing: 1st)
Defensive Rank: 28th (Passing: 30th, Rushing: 5th)

What went right?

RG3 gave the franchise a spark it hasn't had in over a decade. Alfred Morris was a nice surprise as a late round pick. Pierre Garcon stretched the field when he was healthy. Defense was bend but don't break enough down the stretch

What went badly?
Defense mostly, Orakpos injury didn't help. DeAngelo Hall must be a cap casualty soon. Shanahan running his franchise QB into the dirt didn't help.

Prospects for 2013?
While the rest of the division moves forward, the Redskins are stuck waiting on the health of their franchise QB all offseason. Cousins played alright in his sole relief game but is no RG3. Defense needs a bit of a revamp.

Projected 2013 Draft pick?
Since this belongs to the Rams, they'll be making this pick. The Rams need to continue giving Bradford weapons, and with the OL improved, now they get a WR with the size and skills to be a #1 in the NFL in Keenan Allen

The Redskins biggest issue in terms of 2013 prospects isn't unfortunately going to be anything to do with RG3's knee. If that was all we had to worry about then it would be great. The biggest issue is the scandalously corrupt cap penalty the league hit us with for breaking a rule that didn't exist. A lot of important players will likely end up being cap casualties because of it. Key contributors like Lorenzo Alexander, Darrel Young, Kory Leichtensteiger and Fred Davis might have to be allowed to walk. Santana Moss is getting on hut he had a great season in 2012 and he will have to go unless he restructures. Then there's D Hall - say what you like about him but he's still our best corner. Barring some miracle, the Redskins are going to have to let a lot of talent walk this year and won't be able to replace it unless they have a draft that you can only dream about. I guess this was John Mara's plan all along though and it's a stain on the league that they let him away with it.

The prospective FAs are also gutted that Snyder has less caps pace to play with

Haha! Very true GSC...... very true. Of all the years to be a Redskin FA, this is not it!

My only consolation is that we have drafted well over the last two or three years and if we can do that again then maybe we can somehow hold things together this year. There would be no greater poke in the eye for John Mara than if we actually came out of this stronger by filling the roster with lots of hungry, talented rookies.
