WWE Product Empty WWE Product

- As noted before, WWE is hiring for a new Vice President of WWE Kids Entertainment. They want someone who has worked in children's programming for at least ten years and is into kids pop culture and current trends.

WWE is planning a specific initiative to gear up to promote their product harder with kids and families. Specifically, they are looking at new ideas and initiatives to make the WWE brand stronger with mothers and their children.

Does this mean the programming is going to be even more watered down or does it mean they are going to start creating kids films and cartoons or something?

Hopefully they can figure out how to mix the product without diluting content. Saturday Morning Slam is a load of crud, but would be fun to watch as a child. With the amount of programming they have they should be able to keep younger viewers in touch with the bigger events in the company without forcing Raw and PPVs to be too child orientated, they can use editing and promo vids to fill kids in without seeing blood or adult themes.

This could either be good or bad, it depends on whether it means that WWE is going to create more kid-orientated programming away from the normal Raw and Smackdown, in which case it'd be excellent, or they're trying to make the main shows more child-orientated.

could you not have a mix?

make smackdown pg. with heel/face stars stars such as cesaro, kingston, santino, khali, miz. have heels like sandow come out and call everyone stupid and say thre city stinks. give them ppv's like money in the bank. considering the ladder match arent very high risk anymore

and keep those edgier face/heel stars such as punk, big show, swagger, lesnar, triple h on raw where they can have brutal, bloody matches and edgier promo's with mark henry threatening to break bones.

it seems wwe has gone beyong pg now and is pretty much certified 'U' some weeks.

Smackdown used to recap without showing anything mature and also have some interesting story progression up and down the card (im thinking 2000/2001). Now its a real B show and very little of note happens. Back then you would have a less edgy product that kept younger viewers in touch but was worth watching cos the biggest belts were still a part of the story and the stars did turn up. Why bother have them travelling all over for house shows but not use them on Smackdown?
