The weekend of Wrestlemania is a very special occasion. After all it's the grandest stage of them all as it presents the biggest wrestling and most talked about card of the year. With fans fleeing to the New York area to generate a real buzz in the air, this is where professional wrestling gets it's time to shine. All of this isn't just for Wrestlemania though, Indy promotions also run shows around the area on the same weekend creating a special kind of atmosphere. I thought this would be a perfect place to shine the spotlight on the lesser known company's, giving us a chance discuss shows, results, card and thoughts on the independent shows running this weekend.

This weekend whilst the masses descend upon New York, I'm heading to Prestwich to watch Futureshock Wrestling!

FutureShock Wrestling will be hitting the Longfield Suite on April 6th with its unique brand of high-flying, death-defying action in a night of thrills that will see the Newly Crowned FutureShock Champion, CYANIDE defend his title as well as a Tag-Team Title defence and a match for the FutureShocks Women's Championship! This event is sure to sell out so book early to avoid disappointment!

For the 1st time since August's SuperShow all 3 FutureShock Titles will be on the line. And our 1st match announcements is sure to rock the very foundations of our new venue The Longfield Suite, Prestwich.

At FutureShock Wrestling: UnderGround#1 on Sat April 6th the NEW Futureshock Wrestling Champion Cyanide will defend his title against the man who gave his all and battle through 3 tough, top-caibre opponents in one night: Zack Gibson!

Gibson will be looking to regain the Title that slipped through his fingers less than a week ago, whilst Cyanide and manager Chris Egan will want to cement their spot at the top of the mountain!

Another announcement for our debut at the The Longfield Suite on Saturday April 6th and its the 2nd of our Title Matches!

The FutureShock Tag Team Titles will be on the line at FutureShock Wrestling: UnderGround#1 Sat April 6th as reigning champions The Blackpool Blonds take on the ever popular duo Notorious BaD!

Will Bailey and Daniels take the titles that they so nearly claimed back in December? Or will The Blonds continue to cement their new-found dominance in Futureshock Wrestling?

Our 3rd match announcement for FutureShock Wrestling: UnderGround#1 Sat April 6th is another Championship Match as Women's Champion April Davids once more throws down the gauntlet to the ladies of British Wrestling and offers an Open Challenge for her Futureshock Wrestling Womens Championship!

He's still being advertised to still appear at the show. I was even sent a reminder email from ROH this morning about the show. So I guess we'll have to see what unfolds.
