Broner KO?

The latest boxing buzz is that Broner has been sparked by one of his sparring partners!

I know it sounds a bit unrealistic given the talent he quite clearly has, but it's rumoured to be Errol Spence that did it.

This is the same guy that had apparently gave Mayweather fits in sparring and was kicked from the gym because of it!!

Who is this guy!?

Is Welterweight going to be a problem when he faces a big puncher or is this a wake up call?

It could all be crap, but it's from pretty good sources.

I say it all the time but there comes a point when size overcomes ability, a quick search of Spence he's a light middleweight with reasonable power (based on fighting cans) so it could be a lot of nothing as most issues in sparring are. Spence was also a highly rated amateur so probably has a fair bit of ability himself, if stories like this keep popping up about him he'll find himself fast tracked up the ladder.

Agree ghostly. Just checked boxrec and according to most, he is a very highly rated fighter and does fight at light middle. Be interesting to see how far he goes given the problems he has cause mayweather and broner so early in his career.

Everything Floyd does Broner has to do better.

You always have to factor in that he will be trying to impress during sparring while Broner and Mayweather will use it as a way of trying out new things, it means very little.

Errol Spence is a light middleweight and Broner is a lightweight, so its hardly surprising if its true.

It's been rubbished by the gym, as you'd expect, but as people have mentioned Spence is a lightmiddle with a lot of talent and heavy hands so it shouldn't be taken even if its true

All it takes in sparring is the champion taking it easy or already been worn down after workouts and the younger bigger fighter to try an impress the his in the gym

He's up against Paulie next so I don't think we'll be seeing him knocked out in that fight

Ali was often beaten up when sparring. Meaningless. Although Tyson got decked by Greg Page whilst training for the Douglas fight.

Is Spence LM? 3 of his 4 opponents on Boxrec are WW and the other has no weight listed. Wikipedia says he was the number one ranked amateur WW in the US

Me too. Was a big fan of him but over his last 3-4 fights I've grown to really dislike him.

he is to be honest - i try to avoid watching interviews with him, I just watch the fights then switch over for 5 minutes. Up until the next fight.

I didn't think he got KO'd in training until the guy who is meant to have KO'd him posted online to say they haven't boxed in over a year. Suspect, very suspect.

it would do him good i think. im sure most boxers get put down in training at some point anyways, otherwise the sparring partners arent good enough for you.
