I liked the Colombo style in revealing the murderer at the start and the method of murder. Then Colombo would fill in the gaps and frame the killer.

We the audience knew who but it was Colombo's job to find out why and the motive

Bergerac rules the detective scene.

Plus, I used to have John Nettles autograph.

Does anyone remember Rockliffe's Babies? Great police show that was.

A bit of TV cop show trivia for you. I used to rent a house in a place that was the home town of the guy who wrote The Bill. There is a really steep road called Sun Hill which is where he used to live, hence the name of the station in the tv show.

Rubbish, just like Midsomer, there's only about 23 people living there so even a half blind brain damaged rabbit would figure it out eventually.

I din't like what the Americans did to Bergerac.Perhaps he looked funnier with a long nose but to the British, Bergerac IS John Nettles

There was good programme on when I were a nipper called Matt Houston,he was like Magnum PI in that he had a moustache. It never got repeated, he kept on chasing criminals but running into trash cans.

Robbie coltrane as Fitz in Cracker? He was actually LIKE the murderer you see, he could think like them!Although not strictly a detective.

The main guy in CSI Miami had some great dialogue."It seems like te American Dream.....just turned into a nightmare."

Have a problem sitting through any detective story that lasts longer than an hour.....Also have a problem geting to see a Detective story that lasts longer than an hour............

Do like Basil Rathbone's cheesy Holmes..........and love the old Charlie Chan movies where the guy with the shifty eyes is never the killer!!...The handsome stud always is (A bit like me!!) Wink
