People always say this kind of thing and as a stereotype like "Aussies can't scrum" it's one of rugby's perennial illusions. But if this is the case why don't they stomp on minnows like England or New Zealand do? They never really seem to cut loose. Deans also tends to err to caution - no Cooper and Barnes at full back.
