Sure is! Unexpectedly it is a gloomy morning here in Nottingham. Going to be a nightmare batting in this I would expect, and the new ball will be due at about 11:45.

With the cloud cover I am very confident of victory now

If Swan is turning it square will Cook take the new ball and give the Aussies the chance to score quickly?Tough tough call.

Got to be. Also think the question mark over taking the new ball has been removed. In these conditions it will go round corners.

Am I right in saying Swann doesn't like bowling with a new ball? Think that's why he took a while to get going yesterday.

Yeah I think you are VTR- however I suppose on day 5 pitches where there is uneven bounce a new ball could help.

Anyway we must go with Plan A(old ball Jimmy) because we cant change back ..

The first 9 overs will give an indication of the amount of turn Swanny is getting and what reverse swing Andersonis managing.Might be all over before the we ball anyway.

Is it seriously?

It's like the south of France down here in the west today.

Stunning. Out at the beach last night it was still warm well into the night.

If it stays cloudy up there it might finally mean them having to bat under the conditions that Cook put himself in under.

Conditions .. Old balls.. New balls.. None of it matters when the new master of the game is out there.

Agar a to score a double hundred. Yeah he will carry on long after they have all gone home, he is that good.

Popped out and came back to see these two as safe as houses and set for the win.

Congrats Aussie.  Winners as always.

Is there anything in is pitch at all? Anything to stop the easy win for these two?

Ok until you are trying to sleep.

Thankfully it cooled down here last night.

Oh and here we go. It's raining fours now. I can't see how to beat these two? They look as solid as a rock and totally dominant.

Nope, they couldn't touch this world class once in a thousand years genious team if they tried.

10-0 Aussie across these two series and they will win every game they play in every form for the next 20 years.

It's kind of you to say nice things about a side so far out of your league they don't even deserve to play you but we both know you've won already.

Congrats on the ashes.  Enjoy them for the next few decades.

You have in all seriousness got this one though, these two look set in easy conditions and runs are flowing now.

Well plated Haddin.

I am sad that england have got to the point the tail is a pile of crap where Aussie can play this class and still have three century men waiting to come
How the hell did England's lot think it was ok to hand over their wickets and not even try to get the bare minimum of 350?

It is 1-0 Aussie and they deserve it.  Agar take a bow.

If England don't drop bairstow , play much better, make sensible calls when winning the toss and seriously sort their team out them the ashes are gone and gone badly.

And as I say this the little boy is showing them just how Poopie they are.  Broad is of course being loose and a liability.

England need this new ball to go soft very quickly. Haddin and Agar making hay at the moment and pushing the Aus total past 200.

Agar to be top run scorer this series. He can do it all.

If Mitchell Starc can make 99 on an Indian burner then he can thrash Swann et al. everywhere here. Agar's just retired, a la under 13 level, to give everyone a go.

Good ball.

How the hell they got the best batsman ever out I have no idea.this guy has a high average then Bradman!

I assume Aussie will create a public holiday in his name now?

For Aussie though the fact they still have a hell of a set of batting class coming means this is a tiny score to get. Advantage Aussie. 80-20 Aussie at the mo. or even 90-10.

Late start for me today ...logged on just in time as Jimmy gets the break !
Well bowled clap

I would suggest the fat lady has yet to put on her makeup , as Siddle Starc and Pattinson are a pretty handy 9-11

Agar a good game ...made them work this morning. England will be relieved to see the back of him.

Cook was a bit lucky to get away with such a thin slip cordon Smile

Anderson is pure class. OK
Wickets will tumble now. Despite the howlers it's still be an intriguing contest. The gap is not as big as I thought it would be.

Yes trebs, I saw him peel off a stunning 50 at the SCG but his form has slumped since then. His head doesn't quite seem to be in the right place unfortunately for us.
