Think it’s fair to say expectations are pretty low for Rabbo refs – as long as they are equally as bad for both teams we can’t really complain.

Minging weather here in Edinburgh – I’m assuming Edinburgh will go with the same tactics they used away at Gloucester (which was also pishin doon), and let’s hope there’s the same result!

Well on the plus side the wind has died down, saying that it is still pishin doon!

Look I've just finished work for Christmas - my brain has been switched off for two weeks!

LI are not from London and not much Irish about them, hence have the nickname Not Nots.

Got my bets on for tonight - Laidlaw to score a try (11/1 - brilliant odds I think) and Edinburgh to win by over 3 points (4/1, maybe not so realistic!)

So the 2 guys I normally go with have dropped out. No Christmas nights out, they just think it's too windy/wet. I'll be the noisy loner in the slightly southern section of the east stand if anyone wants to say hello.

Terrific try from Edinburgh.

Brilliant try for Fife all coming from a Laidlaw break. Nice to see him do that. Also great ball retention shown there.

That was a really good patient build up and try from Edinburgh. They are playing the conditions really well.

More good play from the boys in red and black. I hope he follows up with a card for the next bit of Irish cynical play

Really like what I'm seek from Edinburgh. Tonks sure has some boot on him. Although poor end to the half. Needed to get something there.

Edinburgh deserve to be ahead probably by more. Hope they don't regret those missed points at the end. That win last week has clearly done them the power of good, they are almost unrecognisable from early in the season. I hope Glasgow are watching, its going to be no easy game next week!

This game is probably better suited to Gopperth to be honest.

Cornell Du Preez is a great player. Also Greig Tonks is doing well at 10.

As a Glasgow fan I am slightly concerned about the 1872 cup now.

When does Du Preez become 'Scottish'? What a signing he's been. Tonks had another cracking game at 10 and Cuthbert has shown that he's very much a full back.

Great performances all round.

Well Solomans was right , he said it was going to take a little while but they are definitely getting there. There were some stand out performances out there. Cuthbert, Tonks, Ford, du Preez amongst others and more importantly there were no passengers, everyone got stuck in. That's what a coach really wants to see!

Its worth saying again, Edinburgh just beat Leinster!

Well done Embra fully deserved. Leinster did not play the conditions well at all. We also can't score when are on the opposition line this season.

Du Preez is an absolute monster. He'll give the Glasgow back row a real work out.
