thomas stalker parts ways with matchroom

I don't know if anyone picked this up lately but the GB captain at the 2012 Olympics has left Matchroom after it was decided Matchroom not going to not renew his promotional deal with them.

do you think this means he is finished as a professional or will Warren sign him?

thoughts guys?

Yeah, Warren has signed him I believe and Matchroom have signed Robbie Davis Jr.

yeah I saw the Robbie Davies signing I believe he is being co promoted by Dave Coldwell

Yeah, he'll be featured on Sky Sports which is great for Coldwell.

maybe Eddie feels like he ows Dave after taking Tommy Coyle off his hands

Eddie is obviously only intereated in the cream of the Olympians and is discarding the rest. Tough but Stalker will get a fair crack and in my opinion will get better management at Warren's.

isn't Stalker something like 29 maybe Eddie feels he cant do enough with him given the age he is and the stage he is at currrently

Hearn never stops talking about Scotty Cardle, but I really just struggle to see what the fuss about him is in truth. He's quite good, but doesn't really look incredibly special in my opinion.

I agree, he hasn't got much power from what ive seen and I think he be euro level at best, but maybe eddie sees something we dont

Cardle has no power at all, 2 stoppages in 13 fights makes him a lighter puncher than Malignaggi. He could win fights on work rate but he'll be forced to take a lot of punishment along the way.

yep I agree hampo I don't see why eddie likes him either but then I have the same problem with why Matchroom continue to show Lee Purdy, I am a Matchroom fan however

He seems quite susceptible to cuts as well which isn't a good sign this early in his career, the lack of power could be a problem later on but if he adapts the right style it wont matter too much.

Purdy another one good shout got a world title fight and didn't make weight, followed by a euro fight good to watch but lost to a guy in his 40s. I don't wanna see him anymore, back to cardle seems like a poor mans Paul mckloskey to me .

If Purdy can be in some good domestic fights then great, put him on some undercards because God knows they need filling. Just stop telling me these people are the second coming of Hagler.
