Would have loved to see KP given this one last hoorah. But those are the dice he rolled, and they came up seven.

Dernbach in the sub continent :

Worse in bowling average and economy than outside it
Worse in T20 average but better in economy than outside it

Not much to support theory hes better suited.

It doesn't look a strong squad for the ODIs - but that was always going to be the case. But it is an exciting one. I'm looking forward to seeing them play. Particularly Moeen.

Don't really care who else is in the squad, glad he's got some recognition. Hopefully he isn't just going as a drinks-carrier, think he is perfectly capable of challenging Root for the "Batsman who bowls some spin" spot in th2 T20's, and a possible opening option for the ODI's.
