And Rivera was before my time, but he is regarded as the greatest Italian midfielder ever. Even by my family, who are all Bianconeri.

You're only 16 you never seen Del Piero play, I'm  on going to let you wind me up at all. Del Piero said I've only cried twice once was Baggio and the other Scholes. Unless I'm mistaken Del piero is Italian so boom boom.

He played for my club for 20 years and is our all time leading scorer. And he only left us two years ago! I think I know enough about Del Piero to be allowed an opinion.

All these quotes are players being praised at the end their careers. It's amazing how many players are the "best of their generation" just as they are about to retire.

They're hardly likely to say, "Paul Scholes, god he was overrated wasn't he"

I would take them with a pinch of salt. The funniest ones are Xavi who claims the best midfielder of the last 25 or so years is Scholes......and Guardiola.........and Iniesta..........and Zidane..........and Gerrard.......and Schweinsteiger.....and so on and so on

Not even the winter break thing. He only completed a full 90 minutes a handful of times at Real. He always had to be subbed. They say its his build, never put enough weight on & stamina.
Didnt Mourinho get him in the gym more at Real? Ive heard Wengers doing the same now, more gym work than other.

Don't worry. It's one of the initiation questions to anyone who says anything negative about United.

The slow tempo of Serie A will suit Vidic, that's why players like Maldini and Nesta played on so long, because their weaknesses were hidden. If Inter get Vidic next season that's a great signing domestically.
