England U20 starting XV against Wales

15 Howard Packman (Northampton Saints)
14 Zach Kibirige (Newcastle Falcons)
13 Nick Tompkins (Saracens)
12 Harry Sloan (Harlequins)
11 Henry Purdy (Leicester Tigers)
10 Billy Burns (Gloucester Rugby)
9 Callum Braley (Bristol Rugby, captain)

1 Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi (Northampton Saints)
2 Harry Thacker (Leicester Tigers)
3 Scott Wilson (Newcastle Falcons)
4 Maro Itoje (Saracens)
5 Tom Ellis (Bath Rugby)
6 Ross Moriarty (Gloucester Rugby)
7 Gus Jones (London Wasps)
8 Joel Conlon (Exeter Chiefs)

Replacements:

16 Tom Woolstencroft (Bath Rugby)
17 Alex Lundberg (London Wasps)
18 Paul Hill (Leeds Carnegie)
19 Jonny Hill (Gloucester Rugby)
20 Hayden Stringer (Saracens)
21 Henry Taylor (Loughborough University)
22 Sam Olver (Northampton Saints)
23 Aaron Morris (Bedford Blues)

Looks a decent team, front five has a fair bit of menace about it. Wilson is quite experienced at this level now. Thacker is a decent carrier I believe (despite his size) Really like what I've seen of Itoje too, looks to have a big future to me.

Well we looked very good against Scotland. Sizeable and physical in the pack yet skilled in the backs.
Tompkins was stand out in that game.

Not sure what state the Wales U20 team is like at the moment.

Aye there appears to be some hefty, but skillful lads. If I remember correctly though Wales generally match us for size in the pack, so it will be agood contest.

Wales were pretty decent last year. I think they are like us in that they start giving players a go a year early, so there should be a few familiar faces from the last JWC.
