QOTD: Is wrestling real in the 6CW universe? Are the roster really going through the damage that we read about in the matches and do they really hate each other OR is it much like real life where the wrestling is choreographed and there are probably pictures out of Cassius Zhi and Dicey eating meals together on some 6CW dirt sheet?

Great question.

For me it's real. They are not characters - this is their life. Because we don't have the constraint of having to switch it off but still be in the same body - so we don't face those kind of problems.

But then there are promos that hint at a real life for the characters. And they work. So who knows?

I've always seen it as 6CW is the kayfabe and we are the people behind the characters. Rather than there being three layers, with the character in 6CW, the character out of 6CW who is also playing a character then us.

I like to think they have a real life and I've definitely hinted at it in O'Callaghan promos (my first blog promo I did in September)

I've always treated it as a real life but with a small element of acting...for example, when I write a Liam Wood promo where he's in the ring or in front of an opponent he's brash and cocky and doesn't back down to the point of delusional arrogance...but when I write a backstage promo I show his insecure side and almost show a more genuine version of him.

Mine is Viper to stop asking QOTD's cos he wants to answer them about himself really

I've usually done the same, Hero in promo mode is Kanye West set to 11. Behind the scenes though he's pretty fragile.

I don't think that is a character vs real life thing though

That is a camera on vs not knowing the camera is on kind of thing

Same here. Finish at 1pm, then bowling and getting drunk.

It's likely I won't be around much until the New Year as Christmas then I'm going to Edinburgh for New Year so not gonna get much chance.

I see it as real as I do a lot of Diceys life outside of CW in my promos

Last 90 minutes of work for me until Jan 9th - No far flung adventures ahead of me though. Taking the kids to see Santa later today then tomorrow is a trip to the cinema and a bite to eat with wife and kids before exchanging a few Xmas eve presents before bed (pyjamas and hot chocolate mugs)

Not sure how much I'll be around over the next week or so but just in case I'll take the opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - Thanks to you all for making 2016 another truly memorable one for 6CW and here's to a great 2017
