Predictions For AJ vs Wlad

Come on then - it's time to throw in your best guess for Saturday's big fight.

Being British I have to go with Joshua as I think Wlad will struggle with his power, size and his inability to impose his will as he used to when champion could have a profound effect.

Having eaten a fair few jabs and had a shaky moment, AJ poleaxes and finishes Wlad somewhere around the 7th round. Wlad realises he has not much left to prove and retires from boxing shortly after as it's a young man's game.

Amazing fight.

Joshua has the power but the weight he is carrying is making him gas.

Klitschko finish him.....

Joshua is gassed and maybe doesn't have the skill to defend himself.

I hope Joshua can last the twelve rounds.

To be fair to Joshua though he's been thrown in with the best fighter after fighting not so good guys and barely dequate experience. If he doesn't win I wouldn't hold it against him.

Me neither shen. I was thinking exactly that. Great example of building a fighter too quickly can do. Went on ppv far too early and then came the pressure for a big fight.

I agree he has a lot to learn but he has power and spirit and speed. Needs to work on his head movement and basic boxing skills. I think he needs to remove some of that bulk.

Got exposed!!! Give over!! 19th fight...Klit coming into fight was over the hill...couldnt pull the trigger...didnt have a chin etc...

Wasnt shy pulling trigger tonight...chin held up to some massive shots till the stoppage. And if you watched that closely..Joshua for such little experience did everything right after that knockdown..and I mean absolutely everything.

I cant begin to describe how calm and switched on and relaxed Joshua was in the corner...and I am literally about 15 meters from him!!

Probably a good end to Wladimir's career. He was winning on points, knocked down Joshua in the sixth round, but the young gun dragged some energy from somewhere to tag him in the eleventh then finish him off.

Big big win for AJ, easy to forget he's not the finished article.

Joshua was going to destroy him according to most people.

If AJ was that good, he SHOULD have been able to get rid of Wlad a lot more easily.

Ive also said AJs attributes are enough in the current heavyweight scene, and they are. But he's nowhere near as good as what he's made out to be. Simple as that.

If he lays off the coke, he will out box steroid boy. Wlad was done.

Maybe the next best fight out there is Joshua vs Klitschko II.

I never said AJ was that good......41...18 months out and coming from a stinker performance I expected Joshua to win easier..

You talk such nonsense. Closer fight than before if Fury gets in shape but that's a huge massive if, you just talk in extremes.

the HW division is poor. AJ's power & speed is enough as it stands. Has clear stamina, movement & technical issues, but if you posess that power, it doesn't matter really.

not an overly impressive display against a 41 year old & in comparison to Fury, but actually the vulnerability & excitement from tonight probably goes in his favour, especially if he wants to break into the US market.

hearn will have had a heart attack tonight watching his prized asset nearly lose the '0'. Expect a dog opponent next

Tbh if your coming out of that fight with anything other than respect for both men, positivity and excitement then go watch something else...the jewel division in boxing has been crying out for a fight like that and a fighter like Joshua for the better part of 20 years..

People can say Fury will destroy or beat steroid boy as you said...but Fury wont get away with throwing just 20 punches a round for 12 rounds..nor will that chin hold up when he is caught which he will be at some point and Joshua showed that muscles or not he can go 12 rounds and keep his power...all whilst being dropped heavily!

Wilder is nothing special, but he is probably dying for Aj.

I give him credit truss. I really do. He showed heart and the killer instinct to finish Wlad when he had the chance was superb.

I'm just calling it how I see it as I always do. The myth about AJ has been busted as far as I'm concerned.

He'll always be a dangerous man with that power, and he's great for the division, but he's not as good as he is made out to be.

Owen nobody is saying about not having respect for anybody.

It was a cracking fight, best HW fight for absolutely ages. Respect to both and I'd love to see a rematch.

Aj stopped Wlad, but struggled BAD!

Fury outboxed the near invincible Wlad.

You picked the winner Hammer, but as usual you couldn't predict how the fight could go. I knew it would be close.

Great credit for Joshua in coming through the heavy knock down in the sixth round, regrouping and surviving, then finding a second wind and the determination to get back at Klitschko and eventually getting to him, tagging him, then finishing him off.

Fury beat Wlad easier Imo. Yeah Aj got the win, but he struggled.

If Fury gets in shape, he wins without a doubt.

Styles make fights. Fury won't be able to use the same tactics against AJ that worked so well against Vlad. But that doesn't mean that Fury and his team can't come up with equally brilliant tactics to nullify AJ. It certainly would be a very interesting fight (and buildup)
