All Black Knights

After last weekend's announcement of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II's 2011 June Queen's Birthday honours list one might be tempted to ask 'what was so significant about the quality of men who made up the 1963-64 All Blacks?'
John Graham becomes the fourth member of that squad to be knighted,joining Wilson Whineray,Brian Lochore and Colin Meads.
The list clearly makes that team the most honoured New Zealand sports team of all time.
Are there any other quality men around today who deserve such honours?

Kel Tremain and Don Clarke from the same side but for there early demise.perhaps Dad Young too.

They're working through the backlog of players who were more deserving than Balshaw.

That should keep her maj busy for a few years.

What's with the personal attack? Personally I think personal attacks turned 606 into a mess.

My opinion is that Balshaw was undeserving of recognition for his 3 minute appearance in 2003.

Maybe you don't agree, but it's hardly off-topic or trashing. Just an honest opinion. I take it you believe his exploits were decisive?

As you will be aware Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of New Zealand is the Head of State of New Zealand.

That is debatable, pending the long standing negotiation over the two differing translations of the Treaty of Waitangi.
