Re: What goes on in Roy Jones's head?
Slightly cruel thing to say but I fear if he carries on fighting there will be very little going on in there soon.

What mostly happens inside his head nowadays is that his brain impacts against the inside of his skull, rendering him unconscious.
If he fights again after Lebedev nearly killed him I will be (but also won't be) very surprised.

Quality analyst IMO, and one of my favourite boxers. Only seen the Green fight since Calzaghe, hate watching him now.

How ironic it was to hear him say Paul Williams should retire during the Lara fight over the weekend. He kept saying over and over again how he should retire or he will end up taking too many shots.

Typical African American boxer (bar a few).
Earns money, spends money, tax bill, needs another fight.

Worrying that he was blinking alot during the Lebedev fight. Not a good sign.

Where did onetwos article go? Removed for copying?
What goes on in his head?
Both
"i've still got this, i can have one last big run"
and
"$ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $"
Sums it up really, sadly doing his Enzo impression by ending fights face down doesn't seem to deter him fighting....

Yeah - Windy emailed the author and he said he had never heard of ONETWO. Locked and then removed.

Kidding me, right? "I AM DUKE" - or not!!!!!! Lets just hope he doesn't come back.
And RJJ should stick to commentating, do quite enjoy his recent work actually (his old stuff had his ego humping the mic)

Think Jones may well sadly go the way of Ali if he keeps going the way he is. God knows what hes thinking anymore when he gets into the ring

Just watched him in Howard Winstone's film 'Risen' recently, he plays quite a lot of scenes.

If he carries on fighting there won't be anything going on in his head, Lebedev did a horrible knockout of him, he shoudl rewatch that back (If he can) and then realise it's over and has been for a while.

I think when Roy kept repeating himself that Williams should retire, he knew deep down it applied to him

Re: What goes on in Roy Jones's head?
I think Jones is fighting on for fiancial reasons. He needs the money and the easiest and quickest way for him to get it is simply by fighting on.
I would be very surprised if he felt that he was still a major player. Im sure he is aware he should be calling time on his career but financial neccessity and incentives keep him in the sport.
There is very little pride left in his performancs from what I can see and the fact he is campaigning at cruiser suggests he isnt bothered about training hard or making the lower weights.
