Anyone else a Robert Rankin fan?

If you haven't read him I would highly recommend all of his books, as he puts it "far fetched fiction"

I can't say I've read any of his stuff.

I'll keep an eye out though.

I've got about 7 books piled up and a series of another 7 lined up to get to first though.

I would guess he is along the same lines as Terry Pratchett (not that I have read him, but I would imagine they are similar). Some good ones are:

Knees Up Mother Earth
Sex Drugs and Sausage Rolls
Chocolate Hollow Bunnies of the Apocalypse

Can also recommend Jasper Fforde for those of you who enjoy Rankin and Pratchett. Particularly the Thursday Next series.
