Anybody know the truth behind him? Is he just regaining match fitness or actually worse off than Gatland is making out?

I've seen interviews with him and pictures of him training.

I'm pretty sure hes just being wrapped up for the trip to NZ, same as Adam Jones and Wellies.

I reckon Byrne,Adam and Ryan will get a run against the Pumas and hopefully Delve too.

I think the are being quiet on a lot of players.

Rees seems more likely to miss the WC than make it.

News on Jenkins is very limited as is anything about Halfpenny.

Also what about Hibbard?

God help us if we go to the WC with Bennett as 1st choice hooker.

As good a player as Jenkins is, Wales will cope without him as Paul James is a very able deputy at loosehead.

More of a concern is Adam Jones, as without him the Welsh scrum can and does struggle. If you are Welsh and hoping to do well, then start praying now that he is fit is my advice.

Agreed, although Jenkins work rate and presence he gives to the team can't be under estimated.....just hoping that its more precaution than anything else?!!

I think Jenkins is struggling along with Rees to make it.

The same goes for Halfpenny.

I hope Hibbard makes it and the news is that he will. So as long as Adam is ok I would be happy with a front row of those 2 and Paul James.

We can't afford to take 3 or 4 people struggling with injuries in such a small squad especially with the physical group we have got.

I just cant see how Jenkins can go to the world cup if he doesn't get any game time agaisnt Ireland. Propping is extremely technical and would be very very difficuly if not impossible to walk back into a team after 9 months out and compete at the highest level.

Gatland just mentioned he's got a bit of a 'calf' - doesn't seem great!
