Scott LeDoux passes away

Sad news on the IBRO webiste to see that passing of former heavyweight contender Scott Le Doux, whilst not a champion himself Scott fought pretty much everyone and anyone in a decent heavyweight division, facing fighters of the calibre of Duane Bobick, Ron Lyle, George Forman, Ken Norton and Mike Weaver often doing so in their own back yards. He finished with a record of 33-13-4 which perhaps does scant justice to what a genuinely tough fighter Scott was.

Sad news indeed, RIP.

What a sad tale.

Boxing has thrown up its share of villains over the years, but it still seems to be very much in the plus column with nice guys such as Castillo, Arguello, Mac Foster, Ayabola, Patterson and now LeDoux, all leaving us too soon or under sad circumstances.

Saw this the other day, nice tribute Rowley. Sad to see that he spent the last few years of his life in discomfort, but he certainly had a career of which he could be proud. RIP.

RIP. Tough fighter who fought some of the best around. He was also a very good commentator on US TV (ESPN, I think)
