In no particular order

. Kane

. Undertaker

. Ric Flair

. Kevin Nash

. Hulk Hogan

. Sting

. Scott Steiner

. Jerry Lawler

. Jerry Lynn

. Big Show

They taking up air time and valuable spots which could be utilized into other youthful up and coming wrestlers or the midcarders.

It's in general gaffer, some of it applies with tna some with the wwe.

Jerry Lynn should be nowhere near tna,let alone with this god awful storyline with rvd.

In what way is Taker taking up air time at the moment?

Lawler is an announcer and he doesn't have that many matches so i already consider him retired. If Cole was gone from that announce team I'm sure he would return to the decent announcer he used to be.

And i agree that Jerry Lynn has no place on that list.

However I concur with the rest of them and would possibly add Rey

I don't quite agree with Sting, although I would probably not have him so high up the card as TNA do. I think he still has something to offer, particularly TNA, in name recognition and elevation of others.

I don't really have qualms on the others, except Kane really (personal favourite), who I don't think takes up others spots, just keeps the mid-card ticking along generally!

None of the above do anything for me anymore and sting is my 2nd favourite wrestler of all time. I'm enjoying his work again but I don't want to see him headline bound for glory with hogan 15 years removed from their last meeting.

Jerry Lynn is to old, simple as that. Still can go but his time has come and gone.

The Undertaker is another strange choice, he's taken up zero TB time since Mania, he has the best USP associated with WrestleMania too, retiring him now without a story is illogical

Tonnes of guys who aren't getting featured enough, why not have a x division segment or knockouts segment?

Instead we have rvd and jerry Lynn in a hokey storyline.

Id rather see an x division match than seeing backstage segments and slits with jerry Lynn.

When your only response to Jerry Lynn is that he's to old then there really is no point debating with such a blinkered viewpoint, until someone can name a name whois better than him that he's keeping off TV, saying 'he's to old' just doesn't cut it

I'm no fan of RVD but when TNA breakdown the rating quarter hours RVD is usually always in the top 3/4 so you have to expect they'll make him a focal point

Well debate over, nothing left to say on the matter.

Gen me,red, lethal have all left because if lack of being used correctly and t.v time when all the old guard eat up t.v time.

That's my point,let's move on.

Lethal was in TNA for years and years, I bet most casuals didn't even know who he was until he had a program with an old guy Ric Flair, I really liked Lethal but he spent so long as a tribute act he had forgot to get himself a personality, I'm not a fan of Red, he was bland, don't blame Jerry Lynn for them not being on TV though

Shawn Michaels is only 2 years younger than Lynn, and Austin is a year younger. I am sure fans would like to see them have another match.

I don't think age is an issue as long as you can still "cut it". That goes for any sport or profession for that matter. Lynn can still do the business in the ring which is the most important factor.

Out of the list I would agree that Flair, Hogan, Nash and the Undertaker should cease wrestling. The others I feel still have something to give in a limited wrestling role. Lawler is of course the odd one out as he only does appear from time to time for nostagia pops.

Even then, I would still keep some for their pulling power. Just not to wrestle. They should also always play a backseat role to younger performers.

Comparing legends like Austin and Michaels to Lynn is laughable in all honesty.

So what's holding tna back from pushing him? I think I know the answer but then again I might be wrong.

The reason I respect Shawn is because he got out at the right time,I commend him for that.

Take Lynn out and put JJ in,he is absolutely abysmal.

Whats to comment about? RVD seems loath to put anyone over so Jerry Lynn is being used to take RVD out of the BFG series without it damaging RVD and lead in to a high profile match between the two, pretty straight forward, logical booking to be honest, don't understand why you're in a tizzy about it, also, if you're not a casual fan then you'll be able to understand why Lethal and Red where let go, they tried to build Lethal loads of times but he was only ever a tribute act and tne fans never stuck with any of his pushes (which you'll know since you're not a casual) which is shame because he is talanted

these are my personnel opinions, whether I'm right or not I don't care. I,myself don't want to pay to watch theses wrestlers anymore.

I'm not comparing them as wrestlers, I am comparing them by their age.

It seems by your post that as soon as you reach a certain age that you should just give it up, regardless of what you have to offer. That is what I consider laughable

Put another way. Hulk Hogan is 10 years older than Lynn. If he went out at the same age as Lynn is now, we would never have seen Hogan's match with the Rock a WM18.

Age is a number, as long as your not crapola at what you do. Hell, I would rather watch a Lynn match than a Cena match right now! And if the TNA employ him and give him storylines over other people then that is not his fault. He shouldn't just stand aside for up and comers and forfit a pay cheque just because "he should". They need to earn their spot and get noticed.

Big show has had his day

Kane ditto

Lawler is 85% retired

Sting should be nowhere near a main event or tna whc

Sting may be in the twilight of his career but he has been on fire since creating this Joker gimmick. Kudos to him.

This is a problem with wrestling and the reason why many people prefer MMA.

I can think of a few guys i would like to see retire just on their in ring ability irrespetive of age Otunga , Zeke come to mind .

I do agree that the likes of Hogan hog the limelight to much and need to step back , Taker and Sting can still offer for want of a better phrase the x factor they are watchable ,the Sting joker character is the best gimmick in TNA , and everyone wants to see Taker at Mania .

Some Guys just dont know when to call it a day unless they get injured but thats gone on for years .

Sting is my 2nd favourite wrestler of all time, this gimmick suits him to a t. People say he couldn't make a impact in wwe are deluded. He is entertaining and the fans are responding.

That being said I wouldn't be to upset if he announced his retirement tomorrow.

What it seems you have done is picked the first ten old guys you could think of and put them in a list.

I won't bother commenting on the TNA picks because I don't watch it but on your WWE picks, there doesn't seem to be much logic there.

Kane, Undertaker and Big Show are all taking time off and allowing younger stars to flourish in their absence. Kane and Big Show have recently shown their value in putting over people, sure it may have been Mark Henry rather than somebody younger but in the future they could be used to put over a younger star, they are big names in the WWE. Jerry Lawler doesn't even wrestle anymore.

Alot of guys your mentioned have presense in the ring and on screen, Hogan, Nash and Flair in particular.

Where we would be if Nash hadnt attacked Punk at Summerslam? Punk would have had his enevitable rematch with Cena in which Cena would finally beat Punk and he would then be shoved back down into obscurity.

Nash is giving Punk something meaningful to do, as is Jerry Lynn for RVD.

Taker and Kan both dont have long to go, both have said as much.

I like the Big Show. I know hes not the most talented on the ring but I just like the guy. I get the impression he would be a top notch bloke.

Lawler has the odd match here and there but so what? He helped put the Miz over earlier in the year, and Miz got a brilliant TLC match from him.

Sting still has it.

Steiner, Flair and Hogan need to stay around because they are big names. Pushing an up and comer and having them go over Flair or Steiner is a good move for the pushee.
