Trouble in Bangladesh cricket

Bangladesh's issues have been made worse now, with the sacking of shakib al-hasan as captain and tamim iqbal as vice captain...

The decision was made to remove these two from their roles, after the poor performances in zimbabwe.

Who takes over there places now? There's no real talented Bangladesh cricketers apart from Iqbal and Al-Hasan

Their test status should be in serious doubt. I would easily back a full strength Ireland to beat them comfortably. Maybe they could give Netherlands a game?

i would assume that siddique or abdur razzak would prob get captaincy now

Siddique was poor in Zimbabwe..

Trent Johnston the 37 year old who struggles to complete an 50 over game playing test cricket? Hmmm.
That aisde yes they are obviously a stronger side than Namibia, but its still a push to say they would walk over Bangladesh at tests when they struggle agaisnt them at ODI level. Half the team doesnt even get regular county cricket. The odd good showing against England teams treating it like a day at the pub seems to have deluded people into thinking that Irish players who struggle to get county contracts are quality test players. Not to say that I rate Bangladesh that highly, they are a joke but that doesnt suddenly make Ireland good by default.

staggered that tamim lost the vice captaincy, surely he couldnt have had that much to do with it all..

shakib didnt even want the captaincy he admitted that he took it on reluctantly, so yh remove him, but then surely promote tamim to captain and see how he does.

Rahim is a thinking cricketer.I think he is the best choice.

Sacking sacking sacking, left right and center, PCB does it so often,
this is not way forward, if it was, the whole Indian team deserve sacking.

BCB needs to encourage its players not sack them from their roles.

Harsh on Zimbabwe tbh.I think they would give West Indies,Sri Lanka and New Zealand a good run for their money.

True.Sri Lanka have been awful since the retiremnt of Murali.They have become a joke.

And the loss of Malinga, however they've got some good youngsters (I.e. Chandimal) coming through

bangladesh need to start winning some games, or they might sack the whole team and replace them with no one

Sri Lanka's bowling line-up is awful more like Shanky. They just don't have the bowlers to take 20 wickets.

bangladesh need a seam bowling all rounder as well.

Bangladesh need a quality seamer first and foremost

bangladesh need to stop using 20 million spinners in a game, 2 or 3 is enough, in england they used 4 or 5

they dont score enough runs, for the bowlers to have a chance to be honest.
