Missed curtain raiser

Many people have said that the opening match of the RWC tournament should´ve been France vs NZ instead of Tonga vs NZ. Personally, I´m glad to see the France game later on in the pool matches as it´ll give NZ a tough game closer to the knockout stages of the tournament.

But the organizers missed a trick with not putting this game first up. The Nude Blacks or the Ball Blacks against a Spanish female side that likes to play in underwear. What better way to get the attention of not just the rugby world but the world in its entirety.

I beg to differ. I saw plenty of talent in the RWC coverage this weekend. I could list the highlights, but I wouldn't want to be sexist...

Well no doubt you enjoyed SBW peeling off his shirt and having to have someone roll on a new one for him Cari. But the women wore clothes on top of their underwear this time round and the boys were naked so no possible claims of sexism there. Plenty of coverage on display with one guy having extended full coverage. Not for pleasant viewing but you have to admire his acceptance of his body size.

Not for viewing around meal times. Some pretty hairy tackles there if you´ll excuse the pun. Some pretty hairy tacklers too in general.

That tackle was a bit high don´t you alcoombe?! Well his tackle probably did get somewhat higher after that tackle. Can´t blame the guy. Not a lot of action coming his way with that physique.
